I do Milsim and Skirmish, really depends on time of year, work, and school.

21, single, I tend to prefer milsim side of things though the odd skirmish is fun. My disposable income is a fucking joke and practically non existant

41 married, three children...under 12 month in the game (so why do I have 13 pistols and 11 or so AEGs? Another issue...therapy required! I'm an airsoft hoarder) Mostly skirmish as we have a local midweek, midday game...family too young to milsim!

22 with longtime girlfriend. Haven't gamed yet, starting off with skirmishes with the odd milsim hopefully.
Girlfriend paintballed somewhat - but if there's a trick to getting them more interested in real guns and gear.... please....someone...anyone?

38. Skirmish, Mil-Sim, and Mil-Sim "lite" (shorter objective based games). During the snowless months I play minimum of once per week with a group of players from around the rural area where we live. My soon to be 15 year old son plays as well. My wife is very supportive and has played a few times herself.

Something-something years old (over 30), airsofting for over 10 years, single. No children, 1 dog.
edit: oops, one of the questions was milsim or skirms. Definitely milsim and hardcore milsim/realsim for me. I've obviously been through a few "seriouser" relationships during that period, but it's never been an issue since airsoft was always such a large and integral part of my life: unlike some easily overlooked once-every-so-often hobby, anyone I meet that gets to know me must realize this is part of what I do and whom I am. 3/4 of my friends are airsofters, so airsoft remains a regular topic of conversation even outside of airsoft events. It's not just a hobby, it's a lifestyle. Those who aren't down with it don't stick around very long. It probably helps to not I'm not a typical 9-to-5er either, so anyone who got involved with me was in for something different right off the bat.

30 married with a seven year old son, who has a very large selection of nerf to compensate for not being able to come out with me... The new auto nerf isn't that bad!
Been in the sport for about a year. Up until a year ago I didn't have the disposable income to facilitate A hobby let alone airsoft. Up until now I've played mostly scrims but will be changing to mil sims. It is easier to talk up and plan something like border wars, mason relic, Op rhino or udora outdoor games than going out and scrimmimg on the fly for 6 hours with a week or less notice. Wife's pretty good about it, and about being an occasional widow, it's about as expensive and time consuming as golf without the risk of the drinks cart girls on the back nine and it keeps me fairly local / in Canada.
