I'm holding a WE M14 right now. It is too big, and has too small magazines, to run around with for a day, you'll get outgunned by a GBB pistol. The AEG M14 would also be too big to be a "universal" weapon, you'd have to pick the DMR position and stick with it.

Get a HK416, you can use it for everything.

Depends on how big a person you are. I love my M14, its not too big or too heavy for me.

Its got wicked range, and with full auto it keeps up with most AEGs. And it lays down suppresive fire very well. I know I've done it!

Don't tell the OP that it is too big or heavy, just because it is for you. instead tell them to try holding one and make up their own mind!

It is great for the DM role!

back to work!

No, you don't have to "stick with a DMR position".
A lot of people use M14's as regular guns.

Im looking for a M14

Hey guys, im looking for a m14 and i still haven't found what i want. You are talking about stuff that cost 250-500$. The problem is that im looking for a gun that is less than 200$ for beginners that will still do the job. I was hoping by joining this site that people could help me in my search. It also has to be legal in canada (of course but still want to make that clear ).Packeges below 250 are also acceptable, i find theem very useful.Anyways.if you can help me, plz reply!!!!!

You wont have any luck for less than 200, at all.

In most cases you're looking well over 500 - 700 dollars for a decent M14 and even then... The best ones available are TM.

Don't cheap out even on your first gun, Airsoft is very expensive in canada and spending the dough on a quality gun to start out with is seriously beneficial.

Arrange to get age verified with a local rep here and get access to the classifieds, you have to be 18 or older to be verified

Sorry to burst your bubble but you're looking at $350 alone for the gun itself (BNIB, CYMA M14). If you want something better at $350 you're looking at a used, slightly better clone in not that great condition.

Surebet's done all the work for you, and this is a glance of the kinds of prices you're looking at in the classifieds http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=93431

If you can't drop that kind of cash then an M14 isn't the gun for you. You can get a decent AK or M4 (BNIB) for $350 or a package AK or M4 for $400-450 but that's the best you're going to find (of stuff that isn't the best but isn't some crappy POS).

The lowest price for a decent M14 is about $320.

Thx

OK, thank you guys for your help, i will continue my search with your replies in mind.I still find the price high but i guess it has to be high for quality, if you have any gun to suggest me go ahead (not too expensive though).I always like different opinions, im also looking for an mp7 (if you dont know what it is go on youtube and type "future weapons mp7a1") its a submachinegun basically. I will accept any suggestions on guns and will check it out myself. Thank you for your help!

TM = Tokyo Marui

And don't make 3 posts in a row, just edit your first one.

For the MP7, TM makes an electric one, and KSC/KWA make a gas one. Do some research and you'll see for yourself.

I game a WE M14

Debrief is correct - it is very heavy (gun is 12lbs, bandolier with 6 mags is over 10 lbs plus the rest of the kit)

Strelok is also correct - I have heard stories of parts falling off of the gun (however I have had no issues and ensure it is well maintained)

I like the realism

Gun and mags is costly too $600 for the gun and mags are $55 each

Personal preference dude - it's your choice.

Here's my new baby... Ares/Star M14 EBR Standard (Very hard to find parts, but she's so sexy)
She shoots around 380fps, really want to do some upgrades, but she's not a V7... It's an Alien... Never seen it before...lol

Hollywood has the M14 nam style... (See you soon, just got mine a week ago...)
You can go vietnam style or Iraq style, it's really up to you buddy...

YouTube - m14 ebr

YouTube - M-14 EBR Silencer

The M14 EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) was introduce in 2004 for the War in Afghanistan. The United States Navy Seals were the first forces to be armed with the EBR in 2004. There is only one soldier in a group of 12 that is armed with the M14 EBR...(Iraq War)
You can be one of them....

P.S. If you see her on the field... Her name is Megan... Meet and greet Megan on May 8th at FRs and Udora May 29th... lol..
