I'm not sure which will be more fun, driving or shooting.

OMG... that thing would be PERFECT for the Bowmanville field... lots of room, open fields... hmmmm.

Plan on making an export model? (i.e. export from MB to ONT? ;-)

The engine is slated for rebuild, and the displacement is getting bumped from 1600cc to 1900, not as big as the SEALs unit as it has a 2200cc powerplant in it. The material cost was on par with a new snow machine, (Sans the weapons which as you can imagine add alot to the over all cost). The weapons are attached to the mounts by a 3/8 spring clip pin like this.

to remove them from the mounts you just unhook the spring gate and yank the pin, and it leaves the mount clean with just a small plate left attached to the foregrip of the '60, that way the weapons can be dismounted quickly and used where ever they are needed. Also during K2 any weapons left laying around will be vulnerable to being used against you by your opponents, or can be left in a boobytrapped state by them, so taking the Squad guns with you after the vehicle is disabled is a wise choice to say the least.

1900cc is still a pretty crazy engine in a dunebuggy. My brother's has an 1800cc in it right now, the new one he's building will have a turbo-charged 2250cc stroked motor in it... Are you using a VW in that?

The 1800cc gives us about 100or so Km/h, probably faster, though we can't really giv'er or we start to not be able to see from the wind, even with glasses on... You'd need full goggles for adequate protection, but the motor is also 40 years old, so it's nothin' to shake a stick at... Though the fact that yours has mounted weapons makes it cooler.

It's a VW aircooled engine. This one is alot lighter than the SEAL unit, likely by a few hundred pounds, theirs has a considerably longer wheelbase and a bit wider track also.

Dude, this is Saskatchewan, people take a shotgun with them when they take the garbage out. People here aren't all anal about guns, most people see them as tool they way others see a circular saw or a chainsaw, perfectly safe as long as you dont fuck around and get stupid using it. That weapon was mounted for the photo and then put back in the house, I may be crazy but I aint stupid.
