Lonex internals?

Figured after i seen how old the original post lol. Too late for reading date apparently. So i spose you love em like the rest of us?

TBH I think Lonex parts are great for the price, but their QC doesn't seem to be on the same level as other brands like Modify and Prometheus. Every Modify or Prometheus part I've ever seen/used has been flawless and indestructible, in fact I've never managed to break a Modify or Prometheus part. Although I've never had a Lonex part outright fail on me, of the two Lonex 16:1 gearsets that have passed through my hands both have been flawed out of the box. One had four hairline cracks on the sector gear from someone hammering the shaft in, the other had a slightly bent gearshaft on the spur gear. When you don't get a lemon though, the parts are solid.

Don't even put Prometheus on the same level as Modify. Please. Don't get me wrong, Modify has great packaging, great marketing and their products are well, "good enough", but if you want to push beyond 400fps/30rps, nope.

Just going to put this out there, but...do you think it's coincidence that Lonex is one of the #1 trusted internals brands on Airsoft Mechanics? Now you won't suppose that those guys, and myself, would know anything about that ?

I still use a lot of lonex components, I just wasn't particularly impressed with getting two fudged gear sets in a row when every modify part I've used has been fine.

I would like to add that it is possible that you got counterfite lonex parts depending from where you bought them.
Tho i havent heard of an influx of fake lonex goods i know i havent seen or heard of many "defdctive" or crappy lonex goods in my readings i do know as an example there are a buttload (or where at least) of phony mag brand mags on the market if you buy real mag brand mags they still come with a warning msg in them showing the minor diferences in packaging and the product itself so anything could be cloned and even packaged the same and sold ad genuine product when it isnt.

Nope I got them when I stopped by at Duy's place. Would have gotten them from you if you guys did local pick up *cough*

Not really into:
* tax evasion /getting audited by CRA (if you've ever been audited, you'll know why)
* inventory/accounting nightmare
* having people come to my house; OR
* hanging out in chinese mall on saturdays/sundays (I'd rather be playing and besides, if I did that, we wouldn't be able to have shootouts at Waterdown.

No, I mean get the bad gears replaced at where you got them from...

Well what happened was the first set had the cracks and the replacement set had the bent shaft lol. I'm not going to bother him to get t replaced because he told me to take a close look at the gear set an make sure it's good before I left. I bend was small enough for me to not notice until I started shimming the gears.

Before Stephen decides to volunteer me for anything I better say something.

Frankly I love you guys and all, but I work 9-5 and the last thing I want to worry about is an after work appointment with a customer. I'll be cranky, tired, and you really won't get the best service from me after a long days work.

I try to ship things ASAP and I don't think I've ever had longer than a 48 hour turnaround. Those who picked up on my schedule know that if you order by 7pm it'll pretty much get shipped next day.
