thanks for all the inputs. I will try to find an available barrel nut. (sounds not easy though...)

I bought one of these rails a while back and bought the G&P nut just in case. Turns out I didn't need it so it's sitting here unused.
PM me your mailing address and I'll send it out to you. No charge. |

I got a barrel nut, the G&P one (thanks again ScopeDog!), and it fits perfectly.
Thread is imperial on mine. Random threads so? No way to find out ... Maybe I should ask ICS directly about this. Anyway, thanks to everybody!

I'm about to go through the same thing but this Imperial G&P nut has been sold out and back ordered for over a year according to Jugglez from airsoftparts.
Above Kaiu stated the S&W ICS bodies didn't need the imperial nut - can anyone verify this? My Mad Bull Daniel Defense MK18 9.5 Inch RIS-II is being shipped so i'd like to be prepared. |

I tried with the M&P (is it the S&W one?) body and it is imperial too. Those who succeded with it should have use chinese replica other than madbull. My guess though.
Btw I am selling my M4 right now, just sayin' ^____^ (yeah quite expensive for a barrel nut)

I installed a 7.25" Madbull Noveske SWS licenced RIS barrel nut on my manu'd date Dec 2010 ICS M4A1 14.5" model with no issues. I do not know whether it is metric or imperial for sure but it looked to be metric threading/pitch to me.

Balls. Turns out my ICS M4A1 with S&W trades is imperial threaded.
And so begins the search for the proper imperial nut. Has anyone ever tried the madbull rethreading tool? I would hate to have to resort to this. |

Tried and works great.
You just have to take your time and use a LOT of oil. But once it's done, you can fit anything. |
