Won't clear material be more susceptible to breakage than nylon fiber? Then you end up paying more. Might as well buy a pack of hand guards to save you the trouble of going back and forth and cheaper if bought in bulk.

There are no laws about that, if you're wondering.
Oh man are you serious. This was my first airsoft gun and I was reading around a few places on the internet and I saw it say that in Canada you must have a full clear gun. Thats why I was looking for this piece. Clearly the site was wrong. Thank's for the clear up Styrak!

Generally for entry one of the tests that the customs officer will go through in the check list is that it's fully clear PROHIBITED parts (not everything just the prohib ones as stated by the law). That generally means the "body" or rather the part that carries the serial number on it. That is; lower for AR pattern rifles, upper for M1A, upper for G36, and upper for MP5.

Would have been much easier, quicker, and clearer if you told us why from the start.

Sigh.

yea a clear handguard would make no difference for importation. What matters is the receivers and Like L473ncy said, on a AR15 (M4, M16) based rifle it would be the lower receiver. Which is the part you stick the mag into, attach the pistol grip and has the fire selector.
