Also on a GBBR, a good silencer will act as a real one would on a real gun. Last edited by coach; December 12th, 2012 at 17:47.. |

foam filled "silencers" make P* rifles nearly silent. They sound like the mouse farts from the movies :P

You'll never see a video of a retailer testing the range -because the second barrel actually alter the direction. It's a great concept, however poorly executed. |

Depends on your internal setup really
But foam filled suppressors with small exit apertures will definitely reduce your down range noise profile But it may do next to nothing from where you are shooting the gun. For example, my VSR sounds like it clacks pretty good when I have my ear right next to the bolt, but from only 15 feet away all you hear is a light click of the trigger and a BB whizzing around On AEG's, they are primarily for reducing long range noise, like out at 140+ feet, they can be REALLY effective at that. But for CQB purposes, it's really just aesthetic. Now there are other things you can do to make your AEG really quiet, but that deserves another thread |

But IMO, the second inner is actually long enough to restabilize the BB and send it along its way....the increase in flyers and general decrease in precision comes from the BB being damaged at the transition and hopup effect being scrubbed off after the transition bounce. Agreed...cool idea but less than ideal execution |

No harm/foul...I suppose when Kull and I read that it may not have come across the way you meant it.
Your fist sentence reads like you're stating that it does do those things in your opinion/experience. Not what you meant then....more what you've read and are reiterating from marketing hype/claims vs. actual observation from use? Happens all the time on the internet. |

"bb bukakke" KING!

I'm reasonably convinced it's due to the first 10-20 rounds in my midcaps not feeding very well... I will have to make a few adjustments to the tappet plate and spring after I do some more testing. I've only gamed the gun 2 times, and both were still when the hopup wasn't sealing very well to the nozzle. I will be sure to get it resolved before nightfall2... you bitches don't know which beast you'll see :P Could be the p90 again... could be the g36.

A suppressor can clip a bb if the suppressor is long with a exit hole too small and the suppressor does not mount true to the barrel axis. A bb leaving the inner rises slightly due to hop up.

Put on a longer tight bore barrel and get increased accuracy!

It helps but yeah, My 7.5 inch KAC PDW out ranges some "designated sniper platforms" with ridiculous long barrels.

ok so i mostly seem that it wont improve accuracy and may also affect the bb i guess no silencer cue 007 theme

I have a foam filled one and in about a week when I get to put it all together I'll post the results. My mock silencer also has + & - threads on both sides of the tube, aluminum tube but plastic screw caps. IF the BB's flight gets disrupted enough to clip the exit hole I'm pretty sure it will break the screw cap.
I'll also try to test the accuracy before and after but my space for testing is very limited and results will probably be inconclusive. |
