But the GOOD thing is, if he is in Markham, I would ask the Mods for help for an IP, and report this to the police. The police would likely be more involved if it's a local deal since it requires less effort.

Best of luck with it. But definitely report to the mod to see if they can provide information on the matter, and also file a report to the police. We certainly don't need dishonest traders in this community.

EDIT: His ebay account is still active, so I really doubt that's really Gamers' ebay ID.
We have already discussed going to metro police, and it IS an option we are willing to resort to, especailly since this person has done this more than once. And it's actually not neccessarily a ten minute drive. LaZeDoUt^ Lives in in the north of Richmond Hill, and we don't know where exactly in Markham this person lives, and Markham's a big place.

(For future purposes) As much as ASC is a small community, when trading online, always look for references, in this case, he used his ebay as reference (since he has only 1 trade rating on ASC), so I would email that ebay account to confirm it's his. Also, just to make things easier, I would also recommend asking a phone number and call him to confirm, etc.

Ya I know what you mean, but as I said, I would confirm it's his ebay first before asking to ship. If it's someone who has no references anywhere, I would definitely make the drive if it's within 30-45 minutes driving distance rather than risking my hard-earned dollars.

I would DEFINITELY report to the police and go hard on this guy, and ask a Mod to post what happens to the troll on the forum to make sure trolls think twice before trying to scam people on ASC.

I can appreciate what you are saying, and I agree, but what is done is done, and we will just have to sort the issue out. I have 2 main concerns here, the victims getting thier money back, and making sure he doesn't rip off any more of our fellow airsofters either using this name, or another user. And as I said, we are considering going to metro very soon. No doubt this person is on these boards on a different user. He had some "easy fish" he caught. Why give up a good fishing hole, right? So, if you're here reading this Gamer, be a sport and cough up the money you owe, because if you don't, I will make it my mission to find you! And I'll make an example out of you for anyone else who decides to rip people off on this forum! That was not a threat mods - simply my way of saying enough is enough!

My best recommendation is just to send him ONE last email, give him 24-48hrs, saying this will be last warning until all of you file a report on it.

It would suck being him if the forum finds out who he is in real life. It would suck BADLY being public enemy #1 on the airsoft field.

why hasn't anyone checked his ebay and paypal accounts profile section, to find out where he lives? since the $ was sent through paypal, you know it's his, so get his address and name off of there, he's a 'verified user' so his address is on file.

Someone provide me with his contact information. If he lives in the GTA I'm going for a drive.

:rrr:

I'm tired of these little fucks coming on here and stealing. Carl's a good guy but his refusal to provide this information actually pisses me off. This Gamer123 character is a thief and quite frankly he doesn't deserve his privacy when he steals from others.

i might be out of the loop concerning age verifications, but is it normal practice to grant verification clearance to underage players?

As I said earlier, there is more victims than have spoken up on this issue. To the rest of you, you won't be causing any problems by speaking up, this person needs to be dealt with, and the others here need to know who you are if you are to be aided in getting what belongs to you - beit what you payed for, or your money back.

Did you pay by credit card? If so, contact your credit card company, inform that you purchased a product from someone online, and that the goods were not delivered. You have made several reasonable attempts to contact the seller to no avail. It has been a considerable amount of time for a reasonable delivery period. You attempted to take the issue up with Paypal but they are unwilling to refund your money. Say the purchase was for sports equipment, only if they ask. Say exactly that, because if you give too many details (private seller, forum, airsoft/gun parts, etc...), they may not be willing to credit you.

If the action is approved, you will be mailed a letter that you sign and return in the postage paid envelope. Your credit card will then be credited the purchase price. Your credit card company will then take the issue up with Paypal who will then more than likely start taking action against this individual. This process applies only when paying by credit card however. It is good in almost all situations. Don't abuse it, or your credit report may be flagged and then you would be in trouble. Just do it in honest situations and you should be fine.

That's a great way to have PayPal shut down your account. It's a well document "fact."

I've done it three times when making purchases through Paypal, with no consequences. Believe it or not, if you wish.
