if the hammer is broken and wont cock, you'll have a hell of a time getting the slide off.

Someone who knows more than me could answer this, is there a way to manuall depress the hammer on KSC/KWA glocks?

Stick something thin (like a toothpick, for example) in the opening on the rear of the internal assembly of the slide and depress the hammer manually.

Pull this pins down while pressing the internal hammer down should cause the slide to jump forward, and then you should be able to slide it right off.

If this fails to work, if it's a plastic slide... just bend it off it's track on one side, with a little love, of course.

Most likey, your hammer sear is broken, hence the reason being why your hammer will not stay in battery when cocked. If your Glock truely cannot cock (the hammer is not able to cock) follow these steps.

For this, you will need a long rod/bar like a nail to hold the hammer down. This may be very difficult to disassemble as you might need and extra hand or so.

http://www.skirmish.at/scans/manuals...g19_manual.jpg

What you want to do is retract the slide about 1/2 and inch to 1 inch and peer underneath the slide. You should be able to see the part#19, which is a part that is spring-engaged and flaps when it passes over the hammer when the slide travels forward. This part raises up into the slide when it passes over the hammer.

While holding the slide back, slowly release it until you see part#19 raise up into the blowback chamber. Now, from here, you should be able to see the hammer slightly raise up, as the hammer directly raises part#19 up. Take the nail and hold down the hammer as best you can. You will need to guide the nail throught the lower opening of part #89 to hold the hammer down, as you need to completely release the slide after you are able to hold the hammer down. You will not be able to release the slide completely if you try to hold it down from any other way.

If you are able to hold the hammer down up to this point, where the nail is guided under through part#89, pull down the slide release tabs on the Glock, and the slide should be able to come forward off the frame.

Read over these instructions carely if you are the least bit confused.

Try not to overly stress the slide or frame of the Glock when pressing down the hammer, and by my guess you will be needing lots of leverage which could put too much undo stress on the Glock.
