He said he's IN the navy, not shooting WITH the navy. Taking your issued C7 downtown and firing full auto with simunitions is not a good way to go.

lol.. i wish i could have the navy approve use of authentic weapons. but from my experience I think we'd have better odds of seeing canada invade the US than the CF giving me the greenlight to use their firearms on my film..

I apologize for the way that i did start this thread. I know from experience that one should always take a few minutes to read up on the proper forum etiquette before posting. Also im working force protection right now where i stand at the gates in halifax for 12 hours. I had just gotten off my shift and was extremely tired and probably should have thought out my approach alot better before asking for help. This is something that just came to me as i was talking to another guy on my shift (army type) who mentioned that airsoft might be the best way to go for my film. Thanks to all those who have been going out of their way to help me out with this. If at anytime anyone on this board that lives in the atlantic provinces has any events that they would like to have filmed let me know and id be glad to come out free of charge if i have the time off. I have a pretty nice cam (xl2-same series used for 28 days later) and the footage would look nice.

Thanks
Andrew Todd

A chance to be on a porno movie 8O, i thought it was a war movie or something.
If you read what I wrote a little more slowly, you might notice I meant a goal for me is to be in a p0rn movie. Some airsofters might want to be in a war movie.. To each their own.

Uh oh... perhaps you didn't notice this but you are fueling everyone's inner compulsive gambler. ASC has combined 2 expensive and addictive elements into the ultimate vice: gambling for airsoft.

I'll get some chairs in a circle, put on some coffee, and register the support group; I'll need to get a head start on this epidemic.

Films using airsoft guns might be another good way to bring credibility to the sport. Considering the fact that they are imported for that apparent reason...

Just like in the movie where the guy breaks into a bank with the gun, steals a bunch of money and gets away without shooting a shot?

Amagine that movie with an airsoft gun. The gun wasn't shot, so it's not like it would even have to be a real gun for someone to do that.....

Anyway, if you get my meaning. It could work either way.

Is SG1 Canadian? I have never watched the show myself.

What I mean is, since the guns are really technically here for the purposes of theatrical use, it would be good to have many amateur films being produced for the justification of the law...

SG1 is shot in BC, so are many others.
Airsoft guns, if you look carefully for the details, are used in tons of movies.
