im just saying 7.62 is a superior round for accuracy and range, 5.56 is more of a rifleman iron sight round due to its lower weight and the fact that most engagement happen under 250 yards
The 5.56 is prefered by LE just for that. I'm not going to debate which round is superior, cause it's like debating over which cake is better: Chocolate, or Vanilla-icing ice cream-packed sex shop cake. 5.6ers have their good points, and 7.6ers have theirs aswell... it just boils down to what/where/how you're engaging targets.

Sorry for the threadjack...

i like the idea of a DMR for airsoft. You gun wont last aslong but they all break eventually. With the cost of making this mod you could buy a KJW gas sniper, 200us. I not sure of the performance you would get out of a gas gun in canada but it would give you two strong guns that acheive what they were ment to do. KJW are not the best but they are moderate snipers and should be considered if you are on a budget.

My G3 dosent have the longest barrel but I find it a little unweildy every once in a while. On a one-point it extends past the middle of my shins and im 5ft 11inches. Have you played with a gun that big before? you might not like it.

The KJW M700 in Canada is $350-500 depending on where you look. They are useful in Canada but where my CA spring M24 can be used from -15'C to +40'C the KJW doesn't do so well in under 12'C and is far too powerful for almost all field limits (pushing 700fps) at around 35'C.
