Hmm.. can you elaborate on this new hop up you speak of?

Just look it up, it's a one piece metal hopup that fits into a plastic piece that is screwed into the metal receiver. When you cock the lever back the shell release actually opens up and that's where you adjust the hop up instead of using the lever from Marui's which can be easily messed up.

EEEEEEEWWWWWWW......BE AUG? they are terrible

as for the CA V.S. ICS debate i would say CA myself, as i have used ics and used CA in the past, and found the CA rifle to be a much better gun. To be fair the ICS is an older gun (version 1 ICS i believe)

because we only want mature 18 year old (or older) people to play the airsoft sport. the last thing we want is little 13 year olds running around showing their new "toy" to his friends and teachers at school. the more negative things about airsoft, the less likely the community will allow the sport to continue. besides, if your 18+, it doesn't take that much effort to get yourself age verified.

*edit* i apologies if my message is confusing to read... im deprived from sleep so my mind isnt working the same as i would be normally.

What you have to do here is realize that this website is basically the cornerstone of the airsoft community here in Canada.

As Greylocks said, being age verified shows that you have respect to the fragile procedures people here are trying to enforce.

Not only that but it will give you :
-access to games (as a player) that are organized on this forum;
-access to restricted sections on which you will be able to buy/trade guns;
-and on a non-technical aspect, it will also give you credibility as a player.

Credibility (and being 18) in this sport is all that you need to have fun. And showing up at games as a spectator will give you an edge if you indeed want to continue on to be a player.

There's a lot of things you can do to make a choice as of witch gun you want to get. First and foremost you can read reviews. But it will never be as efficient as going to a game and look at people's equipment.

It's been about a year on my part since I joined the airsoft community for good and during this year I made a grand total of 10 posts. Why? Because I spent that year reading stuff and PMing the right people to ask questions and to learn.

You should do the same.

I owned an ICS mp5a3 for a week, I liked how sturdy the gun was but hated the noise of the gear box.
