We're not joking with you either; nothing beats seeing the stuff in person. You cant explain all of this in writing.
Your choices are to read the Information posts that already exist, or go see for yourself. Seeing is a lot more fun. You might even be able to try stuff out. |

I started reading a bit more, and I found a place to get some TM rifles, which I've heard very good things about, just one quick question,
is the fact that I feel like an M4A1/M16 design would be the best for me, that I can see myself holding that gun very comfortably, mean that it might be right for me? Because sadly I don't see any way of getting to one of these events, and I don't know people locally who would own these guns.. I really want to try a few rifles out, but if it comes to it, I may have to just look at some more rifles, and go with my instinct, which.. I'm a very easy man to please, and I can get used to anything pretty fast, so as long as the rifle isn't like, A clearsoft (not saying it is, just making a comparison) and the componentry is decent, the ergonomics should come decent for me. Again, thank you for all of the help, I've really learned a lot through you guys, I can't wait to see what airsoft has in store for my future! |

Fill out your profile so that we know where your "local area" is that way someone can give you a hand...

Again, the problem isn't with me going to a game, if I could I'd go to millions, but I'm pretty much constrained to town, I've got a steel plant working dad who just started out and has an obsession with working, but.. If there are some local games hanging around, that'd be GREAT! but unfortunately I don't think that happens often.
Quick question, what's the best way to protect my face in airsoft, without having to bust out the full paintball masks, I see people with just goggles and I wonder about what happens when you get shot in the mouth, and I've seen a few chipped teeth, which I really don't want to happen, my friends Idea was to take A pair of goggles and a ski mask typed thing, which sounds like a pretty good idea to me, would this work? perhaps a bandana over the mouth if there's a hole, just to be completely safe. thanks -mike. |

i waited 6 months till i was old enough to play, waiting sucks but it gives you a good long time to read reviews and figure out what the best functional gun is.
your first gun should be bought for functionality so it'll last until you have enough money to buy another gun lol |

Yeah, Currently I've been looking at the TM M16's and the M4's those two guns have always been the guns that I've loved, Don't get me wrong, I know exactly Zilch about guns, minus the information that games like Americas Army, and Counter strike have taught me, which to be honest isn't much, but the design of the M4 and M16 have just seemed so right to me, guns like the P90 and FAMAS seem really awkward to handle, but I won't know until I can get my hands on one,
At least until I turn eighteen, or get to try some rifles and make a decision and get my dad to order my first bundle of joy, I can look at what kind of gear I'm gonna wear out there! |

If you're really worried about chipping teeth, you could invest in a mouth guard or use your ski mask idea. |

Well, At least to start, I'll be going out pretty protected, until I really find out what it's like.. I don't have to worry much though (for now), the guys who are starting the group with aren't all that wreckless, and respect each other highly, but still.. Accidents happen, especially when you put something that fires projectiles in someones hand for the first time..
Are snowboarding goggles suitable? or do i need something stronger? I'd like to use something with the same design, so if snowboarding goggles work that'd be great. Of course, mind you, these have been totally de-tintified. :P (Yeah, I totally wordsmithed that one) Thanks -Mike |

Thanks for putting me back in line, I got a little dependant on the whole "Answers are coming through this topic" thing, I did a bit of reading, as in since I last posted in this topic, and So far I've been having my eyes set on the SR-16, looks like a very nice weapon, and seems to have quite a few positive reviews.. Unfortunately I don't know much about the workings of an AEG, so reading the posts about upgrading them left me totally lost :P..
So my next mission is to start learning about the componentry in an AEG.. Thanks for all the help, -Mike |

If you cant go anywhere yet due to costs or transportation (or other reasons), it makes no sense to try and buy an expensive gun and then not be able to go where you can use it... |
