the only improvments im AWARE of on the 'new type' M4 is that its and export model (gun laws in japan state a firearm is 300+fps thats why old TM's were 280 fps), meaning it shoots harder, my friend new TM M16 shot about 340 fps
if anyone knows any other mods feel free to add them |

Some more questions...
Since I've only been firing my AEG inside for now, I've retrieved nearly all the bbs that I have fired. Should I throw them away or recycle them? Some are obviously damaged, by most still look intact. I guess it not worth it though. The safe/semi/auto switch on my M4A1 seems way to easy to switch, it doesn't have much resistance unlike the real thing. Is it a "normal problem" with similar TM guns? Is there a way to fix this without replacing a bunch of parts? Also, with the short range tests I've done, I've noticed that my gun fires slightly to the right even if my sights are perfectly aligned. I have to move the back sight one notch off center to correct this. Can it be a problem with the inner barrel (I changed the stock one for a tight bore) or is this the kind of imperfection we have to expect with most airsoft replicas? |

To my understanding, recycled bb's void any sort of warranty* the gun may have, and the bb's, after impact, change shape slighty, so you might cause jams and other problems you can avoid by just throwing them away. I don't recycle BB's, but, that's just me...
Other questions, since I don't own an m4 I can't answer :X |

Like the manual says, do not re-use them in your AEG.
The only useful thing that I've found for used BBs is in grenade launchers, claymores, hand grenades, etc. Basically any device that doesn't have any complicated or sensitive feeding/firing mechanisms. You can tighten up your selector by disassembling the entire receiver, removing the gearbox, popping out the dummy selector and tightening the selector switch screw from the inside. Other than that, there isn't much you can do. Your gun firing off the sight's zero point is very normal. It could be caused by something as simple as a slight manufacturing difference, causing the rear sight to sit off zero. Another strong possibility is your front end (outer barrel & front sight assembly) being assembled with a slight twist to it. It's not an imperfection. These issues are 100% present in real guns as well, and is why your rear sight is adjustable. |

Speaking of recycling bb's, what happens when you play outdoors? the stuff does not biodegrade. over time, the stuffs gonna clutter the forest/land.
Are they recyclable in terms of blue box recycling. |

Also, if you haven't already, you should go about getting you Hop-up perfect (I'm sure there are instruction on that in the manual). There are biodegradable BBs available for you. But the plastic ones don't. As far as I know, no city in Canada has a 6mm plastic BB recycling program.
