Where does it say the TK has a bolt catch?
The LA studios has a bolt catch. Systema ain't the only one, and the LA studios actually has a bolt. Ha.

Hmm... they mention Systema a number of times. Could this be a gas blowback conversion for the Systema? Ultimate upgraded with more... ultimate.

Now if only you could buy drop in gas systems with working bolts... i've seen them installed on a variety of different guns like the VFC HK416, M4S and an AK74. I would gladly plunk down a huge amount of money for a gas conversion kit... knowing TK and the past history of other various gas pieces this gun is going to cost me 2 of my left nuts, but if its around $1000 after import I would definitely concider one.

Actually it's second to the Star lol. The body on the G&G is very ABS like and creaky, compared to the Star shell wich is rock solid. Also the Star has the dummy rounds showing through the side of the mag. Internally The Star has a V3 mecbox, but I don't know whats in the G&G.For the overall feel & look the Star has the G&G beat(IMO)

Yep, thats exactly what I said in the original TK GBB thread. Good luck on that, I remember hearing $1500 US for these, so think $2200 atleast here. Sucks.

but know one knows the real price yet. people were estimating based on the material used in the prototype and other existing guns(la studio). from the recent pics it doesn't look like milled aluminium so that may bring cost down. plus comparing it to la studios ak74 is a bit unfair; those were one-offs built around a vfc body. jac produced gbb m4's for around $600 US, so there is a sliver of hope!
edit- although that said, the tk name does bring the price up, but lets hope he's genuine about trying to appeal to the international market and keep price reasonable as shipping will drive up the cost on the user end. Last edited by Rob; August 14th, 2007 at 18:48.. |

I'm pretty sure the LA ones cost even more then that. The JAC is not a gas blowback, its just a BV system with a reciprocating barrel that moves around half an inch or so? Better then nothing, but not really "GBB" IMO. Id still expect the price of this to be $2000+ in Canada. I'm pretty sure Escort guns go for about that here in Canada as well.

Nope - escort guns go for under 1k new from redwolf. I paid $1050 for my mp5a5 with taxes included. Gotta love those taxes.
Knowing how expensive GBB mags are, I'd hate to lose one of those TK mags. Zi-Xiao
