I'd be curious how well (or how long) your stock gears will work with a magnum. A stronger gear set might be a likely upgrade!

please read (But you need a short type not long): http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_rev...oducts_id=1841

The g36 uses a short-type motor, so the one you linked looks right. That spring also looks like the right one

Past years I've been much more impressed with the EG700 than the EG1000, both for rate of fire with a stronger spring as well as much less whining while doing so. EG1000 always reminded me of federal government employees when asked to do some work outside what they are used to.

If you don't want to use the battery-stock get a 9.6v 1400mah from ehobbyasia.com. Best price anywhere next to having them made locally.

All those parts are going to make for a solid g36. One other thing to look into if you're going balls to the wall on upgrades is an air nozzle.

I am running it.

The 9.6v pack takes about the same space as a 8.4v pack. Maybe 3/4 of a cell wide more. Because the cells are shorter than 2 times the wide... anyways... if you got what I meant, well good for you.

For the last 4 month I'm running a very similar (to the one you want) setup on my TMG36C, power (420FPS) + ROF (21 bb/s).

So, here is my 5 cents...

Systema Magnum Motor (Short) -motor - OK, you might consider Systema Turbo as well if you want higher ROF

Deep Fire Metal Nozzle for G36 Series -airnozzle DONT, you will break your hopup chamber and you dont actually need it
Prometheus Non-Linear Spring MS100 -spring, looks OK, i personally have Madbul130 spring. btw, it is relatively safe to upgrade up to 120m/s springs, after that you might find yourself replacing broken internals once in a while
Systema 6mm Oiless Bushings -bushings - OK
Systema Silent Head Set VER.III - piston head - I know that many members like that one, but for me it is too controversial and you will definitely lose FPS
Systema NEW Polycarbonate Black Piston - piston - DONT, stick with the original one (TM), it is of a superb quality and if it is broken - it is less than $10. Although mine is still fine, i prefer it to break than any other part, when something fails.
Systema Spring Guide with Bearing VER III - bearing spring guide - dont know about that one, im using CA (a metal one) and it is fine. At least with 130 spring you have to use metal ones.
Prometheus Torque Gear Set - gears - should be OK, Im using Systema ones (original ration)
ProWin G36 Chamber for Marui G36 - hopup - DONT, you dont actually need it. I've tried the other brand (metal one) and it was trouble.
-

What else...

Careful shimming, maybe a tightbore + new hopup bucking and of course a battery. I'm using a stock-fitted G&P 9.6 3300 and it is fine.

And the most important thing - GOOD LUCK

Sorry if i have confused you, but

and "a need", IMHO, is two different things

You can replace a piston, i don't think you need it but it wont harm your setup.

The same with the silent head set, you will definitely lose some fps but it might improve the overall durability.

Metal nozzles from my personal experience with different setup are tend to be a trouble. CA used to made these, but stopped because of the hop chamber damage they've caused. If you want an aftermarket nozzle you might consider Prometheus airseal nozzle (I've ordered one this week).

ProWin G36 Chamber - i haven't had any personal experience with this one, but have tried the other metal one (forgot the maker, still have it) and it was a complete disaster. But you are always welcome to try and prove me wrong.

Hope it helps )
