Possibly solution to your mag issue. I read a review of the TSD SD700 on buyairsoft.ca had a similar issue and that person said to pull the bolt back before inserting the mag.
Good review and nice pic with the ammo band.

So what would be the difference of this to the JG bar-10 vsr clone which is around $100 more? It's not that I wouldn't be willing to dish out some extra cash for the JG, but if this is practically the same, then why not save some green. I have heard from several people though that this is not very TM compatible and hard to upgrade.

at already 450fps Im not sure how much more it needs to be upgraded. Ive been looking for a TM VSR Mag to try out to see if they work but havent found a cheap enough one.

On a side note, Ive got a picture that I took of a friends plate carrier with foam plates an inch thick... the picture is of an airsoft BB that was fired from my TSD VSR that went through the fabric of the vest and halfway through the foam plate.

I know that the FPS is higher than a stock JG bar10, but there are other things that could be upgraded. Basically, Is the amount you pay more for the JG bar10 worth it when you could just get the TSD?

Wow I'm sold. Can't beat the price and as long as I can hit a human sized target after it's properly cleaned from 100 feet I'll buy one.

The JG version is shorter, and fires 390FPS out of the box, but if you do the airseal mod, it "supposedly" goes all the way up to 500FPS. who knows.

Well... i don't mean to sound like one of those "which gun is the best?" posts, but I'm having a little trouble with this one.

JG bar-10 is more money, apparently %100 marui vsr clone, probably more reliable, and better looking astheticaly.

TSD vsr clone is less money, higher fps stock.

Don't know.....

I don't really know where you get the "looks better" from, since it's all based on the same model.. but sure okay.

JG BAR is shorter, i'll tell you right now, that means shorter inner barrel.

Magazine solution?

http://www.airsplat.com/Items/AR-WELL-MB2-MAG.htm
I recently found this off airsplat. I think it's out of stock right now, since I cant find it off their website unless i do a google search. It's designed for the MB02, which should work on the MB03, and hopefully your TSD as well. Best part about it, is that it's cheap and apparently it's a metal enclosure design. Let me know what you think. Great post btw.

From what I've read the JG BAR-10 is a closer clone of the TM G-Spec (read: 303mm inner barrel) whereas the Well MB03 uses a custom length barrel and an unconfirmed threading on the barrel end. This means that if you buy a Laylax/PSS10 barrel you're either too short (430mm) or too long (555mm) or as Skladfin mentioned you can get a custom one. As well it's not confirmed if you can place a silencer on the end of the Well's barrel to cover the inner if you do decide to go longer.

Keep in mind that the TM VSR-10 trigger group was never designed with a 400+ FPS output in mind. The reason the Laylax Zero Trigger and the PDI v-Trigger exist is to get around this problem with a completely different design. With the stock springs in the Well/TSD the sears in the trigger are bound to break at some point. Upgrading the sears (or buying a better trigger) and getting a better piston will cost you almost as much as the gun itself but would increase the reliability of the gun by a huge margin.

So, With the TSD/WELL vsr clone, eventually, you will need to do some semi-expensive work on it, but to get the JG bar-10 shooting up high enough to be most "effective" you will also need to do some upgrades on it. Hmm... damn I can't make up my mind..

well I bought a VSR silencer adapter and the thing DOES NOT fit! The outter barrel of the TSD/Well is way larger than a TM!

Does your barrel appear to be a bull barrel? Ie: The barrel has no taper from receiver to muzzle. If so you may be able to source the threaded muzzle for a G-Spec (I know they're around I just can't find one right now) then use a silencer adapter from there.

If you take a look at this picture here

It's for sure that the thinner thread end is the 14mm CCW end. So if you use Microsoft Paint and determine the width of the 14mm CCW end by pixels, it comes out to be 156 pixels. Then you take the thicker end which attaches to the muzzle end and determine the width of that in pixels, it comes out to be 222 pixels.

so you divide the 222 by 156 and you get 1.423.

then you multiply 1.423 by 14mm and you get about 20mm, which is the real size width of the thick end that attaches to the barrel. And I've measured VSR's muzzle end size and it's about 24~25mm. So obviously it don't fit because the muzzle is too big for the adaptor. I wish I could have told you before hand.

Using this method you might be able to find one that fits.
