well Spencer played around with my we1911 and I gotta tell ya I like it, weight/recoil and action are all very nice. I'm still partial to the USP but the we1911 will be next to me at each game

I've had the we 1911 classic for a couple months now and have been skirmishing indoors with it. I'd have to say it's definitely not the best GBB out there. My KJW M9 performs much better than it for sure. However, for the price you definitely can't go wrong (as long as you don't get a lemon) as it's full metal and just feels plain nice.
I had to file the nub that touches the slide catch down a bit to make it catch but other than that no major problems (as per suggested by the saint). After using it for the whole night one time though the 1911 was ridiculously cold and it stopped working consistently. That's the only warning I'd give - don't use it exclusively as your main weapon (about 4 hours worth) |

Recieved my 1911 classic today, plinked with it for a bit after work. Has a little rattle like any all metal pistol. The gas isnt a big issue, seems to fire about 30 shots per charge of gas and still pops the slide open upon empting the mag. The mags get cold pretty quick, could see that being a problem if used as a primary like bloodofkin stated. Makes a nice sound and a nice kick, so far.. Im thrilled with it.

they seem to be getting the quality up on the new we 1911's. theres one in my basement now. i think i showed it to you at flagraiders actually. it works flawlessly other than it doesnt like the cold (no gbb does) like we discussed its like buying a truck. some people like fords (yeah i cant figure that one out either) and some people like chevy. buy it. if you dont like it. sell it.

Only shooting from about 10 feet, small apartment.. but could shoot the wings off a fly with it. I've discovered that trying to empty the two mags as fast as possible will drain the gas very quickly. Timed, well aimed shots give you lots of gas.

It's a great lil handgun. The mags are the only issue I see, as both of mine have broken parts now and I need to get new ones.
I love my WE 1911. Great range and accuracy, not to mention that powerful kick. |
