I usually go with Krylon Fusion for a fast job. You have a 4 colors camo serie but you can use other Fusion colors (With different finish) for effect.
1- Break your pieces apart 2- Clean/Degrease with alcool or acetone 3- Prepare the surfaces with sand paper / steel wool 4- Remove all particles 5- Spray a light layer / Wait 20 mins. 6- Redo step 5 2-3 time 7- Let your parts dry at least 1 hour. Don't field your AEG for 72hrs. Black/OD body with Scottish green for the mags Last edited by THE CAT; September 9th, 2008 at 18:55.. |

Thanks for the tips CAT. I just bought a can of Krylon Camo Ultra-Flat Black from Canadian Tire. So all I have to do is wait for my Cybergun SIG 552 to come in the mail.
BTW, when you got your Cybergun SIG 552, did it come with the clear receiver as well? If so, was the cocking lever assembly made out of clear plastic like the receiver or was is painted black/dark gray? |

Yes, the upper/lower receiver was clear. And no, the cocking lever is metal and the bolt is plastic.
Don't forget to study before ripping the gun apart. Here's a starter: http://www.airsofthacks.com/2007/11/...upgrade-guide/ You can find many other sites concerning that matter. Take your time and you'll end with a nice AEG. Don't forget to post some pics. |

Just a warning... DO NOT USE ACETONE TO CLEAN A PLASTIC GUN.
You'll end up with a bubbled, melted mess. The harshest thing you should use is rubbing alcohol. |

I'll post some pics after the paint job. I already have some experience taking apart the TM version of the 552. I heard that the Cybergun and JG versions are the same way. |

How long do I charge the battery that came with my Cybergun SIG 552 for? It's an 8.4V 1100mAh mini battery and it only came with a wall charger.

Sorry it took so long for me to post up some pictures, but I don't own a digi cam and I had to borrow my cousins.
Well, here's the finished product with all my other accessories on it. |

I had to use a pair of pliers to remove the flash hider. Mind you, that the flash hider was totally ruined and scratched up after I removed it. But if you want to keep it in tact, then just twist really hard, as hard as you can clockwise and you should be able to remove it. Cybergun placed some kind of glue on the threads and they didn't make it easily removeable. Anyways, I hope this helps you out.

No, I actually ended up selling it to Masterless last week because I was able to get a hold of a Tokyo Marui SIG 552 instead.

ha! damn
oh well, ive been lurking for a while now, and ive heard that this gun is just a JG rebrand which is why i got it. Maybe Cat can answer my question: have you gamed this gun yet and how is it? |

Yeah, I think that both the JG and Cybergun SIG 552's are made by the same company somewhere in China and both companies just put their own name on it.
