How about USMC SAM-R ? easy to upgrade and can swap a new upper in 5 second if you have cash to fund another upper, then you are good to go.

Really? Price? That's actually laughable. A PTW will do good but those run upwards of $1800.

Anyways a realistic answer would be something from the AV Classifieds section. They can run between $350-900+ depending on what gun/make/extras you get.

A suggested type would either be an AK47 or an AR-15 variant as those are very common and replacement parts are everywhere.

Brandwise: If you want new look at the ones Mach1 and 007 are selling, specifically the G&G and ICS ones. Other brands that are "noob friendly" would probably be CA, and TM.

PROTIP: Take a look at your body size and decide what's right for you. There really isn't too much internal difference between the guns so whatever you think looks the most badass and cool is what you should go for. Are you a puny 5' 5" 130 lbs? Well a smaller gun might do well for you in that case (M4), or are you a large 6'2" football player weighing in at 200+ lbs? A smaller gun isn't going to feel too comfortable in your hands so maybe a full stock M16 might be a better fit.

Sniperwise you'd probably want to take more of a DMR role if you want to get into sniping later, so an SPR (Special Purpose Rifle) might do you well in that case.

Come with a bipod as well. Mine's a Tokyo Marui, but there are other more affordable ones out there. I can play as a designated marksman or as an assaulter with this gun. It is long as hell though so no cqc for me with it.
lol this isn't paintball

Well if you're not 18+ and age-verified, you may as well forget about getting airsoft guns altogether until you are. Then you can find all kinds of good guns here in the classifieds that can suit any need.

Beat me to it too. We don't refer to our guns as "markers".

Yeah I play paintball too lol, we get into the habit of saying marker as opposed to gun, helps grow the sport as " guns kill people, and markers paint people." If I'm not mistaken I beleive I have seem an aeg refered to as a paintless marker.

Only by people trying to appease soccer moms. Here at ASC, we don't give a shit about appeasing them. The day I'm forced to call my airsoft gun a "marker" is the day I quit airsoft.

I'm 19, looking to get age verified, but I need to get something to shoot with before I get age verified so i can actually go to an event with purpouse.... but in order to do business via classifieds i'd have to be age verified.

Catch 22 all over D:

Ideally i'd prefer to move towards bolt action snipers, I know it's a lot of work but i feel like i'm really more cut out for it than anything else. (6 foot 3 thin as hell).

Going to rent and AEG from someone hopefully in order to make it to an event and get age verified etc.

Should i just toss the Well L96 aside and get a new gun, or is this something i can build off of?

In almost 2 years of reading this forum and being around airsoft guns, I've never heard one referred to as a "paintless marker" or any other form of marker except by paintballers taking up airsoft.

Actually, at most events, you'd be able to rent a gun for the day. It's actually prefereable if you show up to an event before buying anything. Then you can get to see the different kinds of guns. And if you ask, most people will be more than happy to let you hold their guns so you can see what you like best and make a more informed decision that way. It's one thing to look at a picture of a gun online. It's a totally different thing to actually hold and shoot it.

And most regular games will have an AV rep present, so you're covered there too.

Haha, just last week I heard some guy at a paintball field was trying to convince an airsofter that airsoft is falling to the wayside because of the new paintballs that are small and make marks are going to take over or some garbage like that.
