I finally got the light, but not blue, it's white. And the cool thing is the bulb sticks out, and the wires go nicely in. Bright as hell, and using 2 AA batteries. Found some small laser units on ebay for 20$ and very small. Figured I'm going to go green and not red.
Here are the pics. |

why green? i would go for a red unit. a green beam is much easier to see so you give yourself away to the enemy a lot easier. important is to see the dot not the beam.

Updated : June 11th 2009.
Finally got the green laser module, and made some videos. Here are some pics, and video on YouTube. I used a hazer machine to show the beam of the laser. But it is still visible at night even though it is clear night. Oh, and the IR filter cap from the LED light broke off. The rubber was just too weak.. Laser is 5mw. YouTube - Custom PEQ15 Laser |

Neat, but I'd borrow a pair of NVGs or a camera that's good at picking up IR (like Sony Nightshot) and see how much IR light that laser is leaking.

Actually I think he has it right: the focusable IR illuminator is on the left (with the dial), and co-aligned aiming IR and visible lasers on the right (visible red on bottom -- which he mentioned he got wrong)

c3sk had a Russian NV scope, I forgot to ask to use it and to record how it is under NV. Forsure it will light up pretty damn good. Yeah, I couldn't place the module on the bottom, it was just too thick.. |

I made it my own.. lol
Took a Kings Arm PEQ15 battery box, Buy a CR2 or CR123a battery, get some wires, buy a laser module capable of powering 3v, buy an LED light capable of 3v, a switch, and the rest is just yourself wiring. You can PM Huang, he also has his own PEQ15 made. |

Huang's PEQ doesn't have visible "beam", pretty damn bright though...

Did the led had a pcb circuit with it? I searched ebay for a similar led but found nothing. Can you tell me what terms to use or the item title or something. |
