More of a usage issue. I have Yaesu radios on my desk that could emit on police frequencies, cellular frequencies and god knows what else if I hacked them.
Also, some bands are licenced. |

Lets see,
1.Gas masks can come over the border right 2.Is military smoke grenades able to be used at airsoft fields 3.Is it ok to use bullestic eye covers on you gas mask for airsoft |
May 16th, 2009, 00:53 | #26 |
Don't know enough about 1 to answer, but 2 and 3 are both up to the discretion of the field owner and/or game host. Smoke and pyro are always a matter of safety and the permissions of the owner/host. There have been individuals who have replaced the lens(es) in gas masks with polycarbonate or ballistic rated lenses, but whether you can use such an item on-field is again up to the owner/host.

1. Yes, unless prohibited for export from the exporting country. Ref: ITAR
2. If it's pyro, it's hit or miss, mostly miss. Fire hazards suck. Even non-pyro devices may be banned. Field discretion. 3. Gas masks suck all around for airsoft purposes. Case and point, go fetch a straw and breath through it for the next half hour. Then run for the half hour after that. Also, home made shenanigans aren't kosher for eye protection. EDIT: Since this is slowly starting to sound like market research, unless you want to be held liable for occular damage, do not, ever, ghetto eye protection products for sale to the general public. Depends on many things, mostly what you want to look like and what you want to carry.

That's two questions really... one of replicas versus the real deal, and another of type of load bearing gear. For airsoft purposes, both are matters of personal preference. Cost vs. quality vs. perceived value of product. Function, form, intended use, etc.
