Best to wait 30 days and then open up a paypal dispute. You have 45 days after a transaction to open a dispute and you can always cancel it.

In my brief experience using ASC classifieds I have learned that close to half of the people I have dealt with do not promplty respond to emails or pm's (longer than 5 days). And three of the deals took an comfortably long time to receive the items.

Some of them will tell you their really busy with whatever at the moment. Of course that doesn't stop them from posting on ASC every other day. Some are more than happy to take your funds immediately and ship the actual item 2 weeks afterwards.

Hang loose and wait out the 30 days. Email / pm the dude once a week and then open up the dispute if you do not receive the item.

Best of luck. And it's always good to remember Caveat Emptor.

Haha. I had a problem with a very well known retailer here. I paid for item and never got a PM back. I finally got mad and sent a PM titled "Dude your testing my patience". Got a response with details within 5 min. lol. You know who you are. Ehhmm J*******Y.

... I think now is the time to make an ultimatum and contact a mod.

If worst comes to worst if you have a name/address you can contact your local RCMP for mail fraud (or at least some other crime) and last choice is to contact their CO/unit/local MPs.

However I would tend to side on the side of waiting a bit longer as he *is* CF so the benefit of the doubt should be given. He's also very screwed if he is CF and screws around with a private sale as if his CO/unit whatever gets wind, yeah it won't be pretty.

CF or not is no excuse. Unless the guy on deployment, then there is no excuse. If the guy has time to log into ASC, he has time to ship a package, or at least contact the buyer with info or give him a refund.

well, just to update this, i never got my package from him, and i believe he never sent it. just took the money......

i did open a dispute with paypal, and after a month or so, got an email from them stating they ruled in my favor. i got my money back this way.

just a heads up to members here, dont deal with this guy (Point_Man). its a shame a guy would try and screw someone over for a measly 40.00, and risk scrwing his name up over such a small amount.....

on another note, i just bought a gun off someone else here today, it was a substantial amount more than the first transaction, but what the hell, i cant let my first (albeit bad) experience with one guy here ruin it for everyone else!

man i hope this one works out better!

take care ya'll!
ginnz.
