KJW 1911A1 mags will fit, and TM mags should also fit.

If you want a gas-efficient 1911 styled gun, get a TM hi-capa IMO

Yeah. So first of all, they delivered it while I was at work... So they took it to the post office. Dropped by the post office after work, as the online tracking said it was ready for pick up. But they said it wasn't there yet, and it'd be there that night... So I went home, tried to go to the post office this morning to pick it up before work, they couldn't give it to me because I didn't have any ID on me because my wallet was at home... And by the time I got off work, they had already closed... Get to try again tomorrow...

yes the hi-capa is an alternative but I am asking about THIS gun. thanks?

anyone? Will the KJW 1911 go through a whole mag without any low gas effects? ... does the slide have a problem locking back on the last round?

I love the single stack!

You need to pump a fair amount of gas into it, but one full mag should not be a problem. 1.5 mags is with one fill is when the problems start

Well when I first got the mags, I had problems getting even a half mag... But now that I've already put about 500rds through it, I'm able to get a full mag. Blow back is nice and crisp for the first 10-15 shots, then it begins to lag a bit.

Hey Mr. Spec Ops, quick question.
Somethinng I've noticed on my MEU is that if i slowly put the slide back forward, it will catch on the hammer. There's actually noticeable wear on the hammer where it contacts the slide. Do you have the same problem?

Saberwing's KJW 1911 MEU Review

So I figured it was time I did a review of it.

Ordered from Capital Airsoft. Total was $350 for the gun, 2 extra magazines, shipping and tax.

Came within a week to my Post office. Getting it from the post office was a bitch forever, but that isn't Jeff's fault.

Here is the box the gun came in:

Now when I got it, I thought... Alright... where are the extra magazines? But they were inside like this:

So here's the gun with the mags:

So I pulled the gun out and was immediately surprised by the weight for it having a plastic frame. The slide is of decent quality for stock but I would upgrade soon. Upon pulling back on the slide, the internal workings of the hammer and slide lock make some nice metallic clicks. The sights on top of the slide are quite good. Very easy to see in low light conditions. I know from the zombie game last friday. The white dots really pick up light.

The grips are quite comfortable to the touch and are rubberized. However I have large hands and find the narrow body of single stack guns uncomfortable.

Disassembly is done by simply pulling the slide back till the slide lock is at the disassemble nock in the slide, then pushing the slide lock out to the left, then pulling the slide all the way back and then forward and off the gun. This is also how you adjust the hop-up, as there is a little wheel that must be rotated.

Then to remove the barrel and other components, you must remove the recoil spring, then twist off the barrel bushing at the muzzle this allows you to slide the outer barrel and chamber out of the front of the slide.

In this picture, if you look closely at the hammer, you can see where the slide has been catching and worn away the paint and alot of the metal after only 1000rds.

Slide:

The paint on the slide is already beginning to wear off:

Hammer in decocked position:

As you can see, when holding it in the left hand, the safety can be easily operated. However manipulating the slide lock, and magazine release is awkward.

In the right hand however, everything is easily within reach:

Quick video of some indoor shooting. Ignore my disaster of a room:

Field Trials:
Alright, so we had a local zombie game on the 30th. I decided to use the MEU. Filled up all 3 mags and loaded 15rds into each magazine.
I must say, maneuvering with a handgun is much easier then with say my ICS M4. I scored 3 kills in the game, all with the MEU, all were quick 2 shot taps at around 30-40ft, and the targets were hit. Accuracy is decent when hop-up is properly adjusted. However, after the game I decided to do some real shooting with the gun, by then the temperature had dropped to around 2 degrees celsius though. First 5 shots were nice and crisp, but then it started to lag majorly.

And now some Gun Pron pics:

Overall, if you're looking for a good beginner GBB, this would be a decent contender. Although if you're looking more for simplicity and gas capacity, I would get a KJW Glock instead. Or if you're looking for a 1911 with good gas capacity, pick up a Hi-Capa.

Such a nice looking Gun..

Almost bought one from Capital Airsoft as well, But ended up getting the KJW M9A1, Because it felt more comfortable in my hand.
