That's what I do, yes. I'm not sure if that's the "right" way, but it's been working well for me thus far.
What I believe happens (anyone feel free to correct me) is that the propane in the tank is in liquid form and remains as such as you fill your mag. The oil goes into the mag mixed with the propane.

Yes. In the neck/nozzle then screw on the adapter and fill your mag.

didn't check those threads but I'm sure I mention in one or two of them that I use an inkjet refill syringe to put silly oil in the AI adapter. I don't unscrew the adapter anymore unless it's to change tanks. lol

okay, let me ask you guys a question. Aesthetically, which one do you thinnk looks better:

1. 5.1 Stainless
2. 5.1 Black
3. 4.3 Stainless

Im having a bit of trouble choosing between the 3. Many have said that the 4.3 looks better and more stainless, but i dont like the front black diagonal lines on the silver frame.

Any ideas?

i would say the 5.1 stainless =)

wut's ur primary use for the hicapa? CAPS??
i would say it's better to use 5.1 for CAPS for better accuracy over the 4.3

Accuracy is EXTREMELY important to me.... I use my 5.1 for casual shooting, might do competition later on.

Also, whats the difference between the regular 5.1 and the 5.1 stainless? Is it just the color of the slide?

Accuracy important, eh? Do what I did. Get a long frame, long slide and a compensator, and get a 7 inch tightbore inside. Epic.

And yes thats the only difference(AFAIK)

Slide colour, frame is stainless steel, silver furniture I think.

Dude, it's your money. Don't ask others what looks better.
The 5.1's are the same, and 4.3 because it's quicker. Longer = more velocity and accuracy.
If it's accuracy that you want, then why do you care about what looks better?

If you want accuracy, then prepare to blow hundreds.
A stock hi-capa is perfectly fine out of the box.
If parts break, you prepare to buy replacement, or upgrades.

Accuracy isn't always on the gun, it's on the person who operates it.

Colour of:
  • Slide
  • Receiver
  • Slide Catch
  • Mag Catch
  • Ambi Safety Levers
  • Beavertail Grip Safety
  • Rail Adapter
  • Blowback Unit
  • Blowback Unit bolt
  • Recoil Rod Bushing
  • Loading Nozzle
  • Cylinder Bulb
  • Valve Blocker
  • Hop Up Dial

Besides the colour of those items being silver (or dark grey for the nozzle, bulb, blocker & hop up adjustment dial), everything else is exactly the same. Functionality and build are 100% the same, with no improvements over current production regular 5.1.

Incorrect about the frame. It's most definitely not stainless steel. Not sure where you even got that information from. If this model were stainless steel, the price would be about 3 times higher... or more.

I think as far as looks goes from a distance, if you like the 5.1 style, and you're using the gun for target shooting, plinking or practical shooting, then the 5.1 is your best bet, since you'll most likely end up going for some type of shiny silvery build anyways, with 2 tone metal slide, chrome parts, etc. The Stainless model gives you the silver frame and controls at a fraction of the cost of what it'd get you on the aftermarket.

The downside of this, is that if you are even remotely familiar with the standard black Hi-Capa metal parts, you'll notice on closer inspection that the silver finish used on the 5.1 Stainless is sub-par, and quite pitiful compared to the very nice chrome finish on the 4.3 Dual Stainless components. Even compared to the standard black coloured parts, it just looks... poor. IMHO, the finish of the 5.1 Stainless is quite disappointing. I made a big pouty lip the first time I took mine out of the box and molested it.

If you're okay with that, and don't mind seeing weird moulding lines, paint flaws, surface imperfections and such issues, then you wouldn't have much to complain about the 5.1 Stainless.

Anyways, if you want, you're welcome to drop by my place some time to see the entire Marui Hi-Capa lineup... side-by-side. ... and even beside high end custom built pieces using quality materials (like real stainless steel.)

See PM.

The only one I don't have available right now, is the 4.3 Dual Stainless, but the controls on the Xtreme are almost the same. I have an original 4.3 Dual Stainless beavertail safety as well (slightly different shape from all the other Hi-Capas), but you'll be able to an idea of the finish differences with these examples.

In short: the 5.1 Stainless uses more of a replicated satin/matte silver look, whereas, the 4.3 Dual Stainless & Xtreme uses more of a replicated polished/stainless silver look.
