Sorry my bad, forgot to tell you in PM
You need an adapter to read the micro cards.
So a micro to SD card, and an SD reader stick for USB

It comes with a USB cord, so I can just upload it right away to my computer. They also provided me with a free software for the contour its called Easy Edit. Then If I wanna make a movie I can use my windows movie maker. Thanks for the help though! I cant wait to use mine and share my CQB experience, hopefully after my exams are done.

You will find that "easy edit" is just this side of useless for editing,it's ok for barebones editing but is seriously lacking any real editing features. Windows movie maker wont handle the .mov file of the contour especially the large 1080 file format. Plus if you want to burn your footage to DVD your footage will be downgraded as current DVD's ( if memory serves ) playback in SD 480i
other than that the contour is a very good product.

ya I notice that... every time I upload a 1080p video onto windows movie maker, it comes out as 420p. Do you know a good video maker? that can handle contour 1080p? Also I want to put music on the video. I can only think of windows movie maker hehe. Your right Easy edit is just a program to upload your video from the cam directly to your comp. Other than that, its a cheap program

FYI the 60fps videos always get reverted back to 30fps or less in most other codecs
I've been using sony software but not having much luck at it....
Somebody suggested some really awesome software that they said was just fantastic for this, I'll have to find out what it was.

I've been thinking about getting this item for a while now, how easy would it be to mod my helmet to accommodate the camera?

no modification needed. There's a goggle strap or you can attach flat adhesive mount onto your helmet, then connect your camera through that mount. that's all included in the package. I personally like the goggle strap for airsofting and snowboarding.

I do like the design of the long lens look.... but I went with a gopro due to the detail in the image. I find the data rate is tad higher. I use mine for car commercials and have a rail mount for my AEG. I avoid helmet cams cause its a waste of viz mostly due to herky jerky of a head. If you are look straight ahead all the time you are an easy target.

not with contour, its the smallest self contained helmet cam right now with 4.8 oz weight. Maybe if your using Tachyon XC Cameras then those are huge and ugly looking.

My Magix editing program goes as high as 1920x1080 but in order to preserve the HD playback you need blue-ray,yup bring your checkbook because you will need a blu-ray burner$$ blu-ray player-and the 25gb blu-ray disc's to be a true HD video. Magix's is what I have been using for all my video creations ( SD+HD vids ) and I would recommend it but I havent used anything else so I can give no other recommendation. I also have ZERO HD burning experience as none of my camera's are High Def and I only had my contour for a few months. Now I'm using the GoPro Hero Wide
( sd version ) and I recommend it over the contour.

thanks for the program, ill download that later this week when im done my exam. Why did you switch to GoPro Hero wide by the way? When you can have the Contour HD 1080p and its much more smaller and lighter than the GoPro Cam.
