I got a TM MP5A4 at $350 in '03, but that was the PropsCan price.
And the M4 new type I got my friend was $400 just to compare.

I never said I was against this. I would in fact prefer our jacked up prices and the holes one must jump through in order to get airsoft. Keeps the riff raff out. I just have some beef with the "canadian legal" bullshit when its shown as anything other than a marketing scheme. And especially when the prices are still jacked up when its supposedly "legal".

Strange that Velocity Arms never announced this anywhere?

+1

I thought half the price issues was about how it was so hard getting Airsoft in country, and now that it's getting easier, clear lower or not, the prices are the same?

I concur!

Except for the riff raff part, that can be easily fixed with a game list of players and using the BAN stamp when needed.

No one ever said Airsoft is cheap sport to get into.
Urgh dont remind me, the thought of paying $800 for a NIB TM M4 RIS with battery still gives me chills.

considering that TM have to retool their machines or even create new mold, the price for an original R&D AEG from the manufacturer (no clones) is fair. I'll tap that but only if it's a TM

But.....

I also do agree with you about the high price as a deterent to keep the tools out of this sport but sometime they do still fell through the crack and ended up playing airsoft despite the deterence and restrictions.

will ALL the host upheld the ruling of not allowing banned players to play?? so far NO

as for TM clearsoft not being cheaper, well the only justification that I can think of is the added investment to their manufacturing capability afterall Tokyo Marui is in this to make money and Canada is a untapped market especially for an ORIGINAL AEG manufacturer not a clone company like JG, G&G etc.

But they would probably make MORE money if they lowered the prices...

That's how much I pay for my Full metal PMI MP5A4 with a custom SD unit silencers, based of a TM MP5 in 2000

Wow...
You can still find TM M4's of the second gen in like craigs list for around $800 still...STOCK

So thinking about it, it's a great deal.
