And it'll probably be released AFTER the AW338-Spring, too.

The spring sniper rifles should accept most Marui VSR parts.

agreed. it specifically says that for the WA 2000, but not for the AW 338, which is a bit worrying. That being said, i should think the M40A3 will be 100% VSR compatible, but who knows. Still, im an thoroughly impressed with Ares now, especially since they are releasing spring versions of their gas sniper rifles.

Does Ares even have a retailer it sells through in Canada?

No you would have to import it from an ASC retailer.

ARES is currently one of 4 manufacturers that are officially legally providing opaque airsoft guns to Canada through Canadian distributors.

Are you sure? On the Mach1 website i see CA, VFC, ICS and PTWs being offered in full metal, i don't see any Ares AEGs.

From your experience, what is the extra cost required to do this? How much more money am I looking to have to spend?

I've never done it myself but the best way to get an estimate of how much a gun will cost here in Canada is to take the price of the gun and then multiply that by 1.5-3 with the higher mark up going to cheaper guns ie JG, Cyma etc. To know a more specific number you should ask one of the AV'd members to help you.

Heyds, I would recommend getting Aged Verified, if only so you have better access to information than the Newbie Tank. There are important information here that have been limited to AV members.
Shooting Addict, with all due respect, that goes for you, too.
