... So even after that, you're still using ballistic glasses?

Sure, but I'd rather distance myself as much as possible from freak accidents over openly inviting them a second time.

Bolle T 800 goggles have a gap around the bottom and top of the lense for ventilation. This gap is pretty large at around 4mm. It doesn't take much energy to push through this gap if you take an unlucky hit from an odd angle. Shots from above or a floor below can take these angles. Also, if you're laying prone and you're looking down at the ground (say you're changing a mag or fiddling with a radio) you can receive fire from similar angles from in front or behind.

This is what happens when you wear a mesh mask....

Worst airsoft injury I have had was getting shot after calling "dead man coming out" with a gas gun at CQB indoors. The BB was lodged into my forearm and I needed some needle nose pliers to get it out.

I think I'll take the chance. I have a much higher chance of losing my tooth if I wasn't wearing any face protection than having a bb bounce up into my Desert Locusts. I also have no desire to wear a pb mask...after all, thats the reason I left pb and came to airsoft in the first place. (along with the whole realistic guns thing)
As for worst injury, the usual BB lodged in someones chin and just some good lacerations.

I was playing a team deathmatch a number of years ago and everyone else had been eliminated except one other guy and myself...or so I thought. We were both rolling around in 3ft high grass trying to get each other but apparently there was still another guy on the other team and he showed up right beside his teammate. Startled, his teammate rolled over and fired a burst into the other guy's arm pointblank. The burst left only one mark because it was so close. Needless to say the receiver wasn't too happy...
