Easy, it weights about 20 oz... it is about the same as receiving a tennis ball in the face. Hurts, but nothing insanely painful.
Plus the plane is made out of foam, it will self-destruct (if not already, since it takes a LOT to down one of theses buggers). If you use an EFD or pusher, the prop can't hit anybody (EFD is an electric jet turbine and pushers have the prop at the back, so no dive-in-the-face-prop-first thing). For the tricopter, if it crashes, it means you are an insanely good shot. The thing is basically a big "Y" made out of 1/2" carbon tubes, with spinning props at the tips... and it flies at about 30-40 km/h... try hitting someone running... that is around 8 km/h... |

Anyone try to use airhog toys for this?
I know my dad bought two when I was younger and ended up with 8 by the time we got a working one (all them would not charge) so getting a replacement for the item did not seem to be the problem, the guy from airhog also let my dad keep all the RC helis since it was useless shipping back the crappy ones over and over. I do have to say though, for $30 bucks they are pretty fun to fly around. Just wonder if there would be a way to mod the motor so it could carry a loaded grenade. |

Of all the things, another target. If I seen one of these in a game, it would be all the more reason to buy those foam rockets for the 40mm.

Anyone considered getting a R/C group to do air support during an event? I've often thought those guys would like to come out and serve a purpose with them skills, no?

There is also the fact that most don't have an on-board camera with real-time transfer. That makes for a very hard flight if you can't see your plane... |
