Well right now I think that I want something compact, but that will pact a punch.Something that has average distance (not sniper range but not small distance either) The less expensive, the better. I would like semi and full automatic if possible. I dont have any gun in mind, but something that has a nice, cool design to it. I wont panick if you dont have any ideas but if you do, plz feel free to post it! I still have a special liking to the m14 though...

Countries and the guns they produce are on the left. Find something you like, then come back and ask who makes the best version of it.

I got age verified to do the same thing, bought an M14 off the classifieds and the guy took my money and sent me a broken gun he said was totally upgraded. Go with buyairsoft, I would never trust the classifieds... the guy even had perfect trade rating.

Lol. How 'much' trader rating did he have? People can have 1 or 2 good ratings and can still be sketchy. Don't cut at the whole system because one person fucked something up for you.

I haven't had one problem since aside from a fuckup with a retailer and that was of a different matter.

not sure what people have against g&g m14s... aside from harder to find magazines... my m14 socom max has a pretty solid looking gearbox from the looks of it, the only weakness I can immediately see is the piston that has only the first tooth that's metal. everything else is all metal. But then again, that's me as a first time AEG owner taking it apart and comparing it to what people have said in the past about g&g m14s.

So far so good, no issue after about 1500 rounds through it.

my only other complaint and I consider it minor because not everyone will sling their gun, is with the front sling mount, the plugs that hold it in are pretty soft, if you had the gun on a sling and you did a hard drop or bump, you could tear the plugs through the mounting holes.. It only took me 5 minutes and a screwdriver to bend the soft metal back from the expansion plug and push them out of the stock. these are easily replaced with some lock nuts, washers and small bolts, or in my case, a whole rail system. The top heat shield has a tiny bit of wobble because of the hole in it for the rail, but that's to be expected from plastic.

and yes, I am responding to older posts in the thread, but I figure I'd put a good word in for the max m14. It shot 435 on .25s out of the box, the included m100 spring brought it below 400 but I have yet to measure it accurately.

I had to fix a G&G M14 once, only had a few thousand semi auto rounds through it, the motor had burned out and I also found serious arching across the trigger contacts, one was almost cut in half. Crappy parts, get a TM!

Well, since the topic is here, I am considering an M14 ebr as well. I have heard mixed reviews with g&g. TM I have heard mentioned a lot, what about the Ares M14 ebr ss. Money is not really an object, 1500 probably will top out my spending though, I want to have a little something left to put on some bells and whistles this month.

Any other suggestions? I am looking to possibly fill the DM role, I like to be able to hit what I see, so its also partly because I want some ranged accuracy. As well as the ability to put some fire downrange. I have the VFC HK416 CQB for a backup and a glock for a sidearm. So this is a second gun, most likely to become my primary.

That and the m14 I have not seen much, its a beast and I like the look, I wanted something somewhat unique.

TM, seriously no question about it.

Get the TM, buy the EBR kit and spend the rest on Prometheus internals, or let an experienced gundoc do the magic work for you.

I've seen TM M14's at work and its a frightening thing, Hahaha. I wouldn't give as much of a glance to the others.

CA EBR... yes it uses much the same system as the G&G but I have yet to see it crap out, a few of the guys up here got them of the classic army order that Shrike airsoft has put together, and they are champs (430+) leaning towards 1000$ but honestly damn good.

Also Echo1 USA has stepped up to the plate and I found the scout a pretty damn preformer

I Have both a full-stock and ebr 14'S.

The EBR is a G&G max, really kicks asses (same as standard G&G m14 max, but the stock) but effectively front heavy! And there isn't much space for the battery... however it's way enough for a lipo 11.1v...

My std m14 was a 350$ cybergun, I have it since a few years now and have spent a LOT of money keeping it firing for our «new recruits»

They dont use the same mags and a few other parts a slightly different.
But the fact is that the G&G parts, or at least G&G compatible ones, are becoming easier to find, from my searches at least.

So the G&G ebr is very nice but the full stock is way more comfortable, unless you rest it on a bipod (which makes it even more front heavy).

And another dull part about the ebr kit is that the battery cover is held on the gun by 6 screws... yeah you can «screw» two of 'em... but it's still 4 screws to go before you can change the battery. What's the solution? a peq-box? still weight ont the front!

So if time travel was possible i'd say I would buy the G&G max with the walnut full stock. Its way more fancy!

and by the way, I've read that G&G was crap a lot of times on asc... But as a matter of fact, every G&G I saw never had a sigle issue.

That's my opinion

Hi, M14 fans!!!

I'm asking because of an unusal aspect of compatibility:
Locally I can buy cheap KA ABS-shell midcaps... so, do the internalls fit into CYMA magazine shells(I have 2 brand new CYMA of them)??? Or about how thick is the ABS shell by KA(a simply disassembly guide could answer my question)???

Thanx!
