Thread Necro: I'm in the market for a 226. I have been looking at the KSC models, they look puurdy, but I'm curious to know how reliable they are, what their stock performance is like and compatibility in the way of parts/upgrading.
Edit: correction, I have been looking at the KWC models.

KWC is likely to shoot over 400 if you're talking about that xfire thing.. it's not quite a 226.
the KWA m226 has been solid for me, no issues and shoots great, I assume out of the box as I am the second owner. I've pout maybe 1200 rounds through it in 2 years without a single issue. It fits perfectly into a serpa, which I recommend for any 226 so you don't drop mags on the field. friend has just recently bought a kjw 229, it seems to kick harder/louder than my kwa, but doesn't fit as well into the serpa.

Tokyo Marui P226, is the best P226 ever, and one of the best airsoft pistols ever.

No, proprietary gas systems to both kwa and TM
The only one that fits is a Kj works and vice versa

I once had a KJW/Cybergun PT92 (same to a M9 except the marking, not actually PT92) that do not fits to any of replica serpa, but fits to a real serpa perfectly.

The TM/KJws are only too wide at the front of the frame from what I recall... all you need to do is take some sand paper to the tight areas and open it up a bit. Or if you don't care about the paint on your gun, don't bother sanding. It will fit.. it's just tight. Even with the properly fitting pistol, you can see the wear marks on my kwa's slide and front of the frame where it makes contact on the way in and out, it's just less than what would be on the TM.
