too bad we can't trust safe sniping distance adherence. Someone armed with a low power Diana pellet gun could do a lot more effective sniping at 100yd than someone with an airsoft rifle and it wouldn't hurt more than a close airsoft pellet strike.

Maybe it's a silly question...but why not use paintball???
Because paintball sux.

Paintball is about running around dressed in clown.

Airsoft is more about recreating military engagement.
very very true. i totally agree with ur point

Just curious, What practical purpose does this contraption serve?

BTW, I'll stick to Airsoft & Real Steel. Well Polymer actually, Gotta love Glocks.
What the hell purpose does this stupid post serve BC? You know exactly what purpose a BB gun serves... I'm gonna school you so hard next time we're both at a game.

Actually, what purpose does a bb gun serve? Plinking around? Shooting birds? It's not THAT bad a question.

And as for it being a dumb question... his statement reeked of sarcasm and criticism.

And the use of the term "contraption" is condescending.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it and I just plain don't like closed minded people... >_<.

As for airguns, I'd love a rifle like that one in the picture. Reminds me of the Weihrauch rifle I'd like... http://www.dlairgun.com/Weihrauch.htm <-- the model 100s

I stick to pneumatic pump guns for the most part though. Nothing to buy but pellets, and it's basically variable velocity, and it saves on ammo because it's such a pain to pump  .

Is that a commercially available Bulk CO2 conversion, available for the Drozd gun?

I still have my Crossmans at home still in the box. My airsofts get a lot more use. That's pretty much the attraction of airsoft over pellet guns.

My next airgun purchase ... the Air Force Talon!

Holly shit. You'll need a PAL for that thing. And abide all the useless crappy laws that apply to firearm ownership.

Paintball fuckin' rocks. You just have to be into it. =D

As for those airguns...

Anyone who owns the current Walther PPK/S (blowback .177 bb's)... might be interested to know that there's been another .177 blowback released, and it looks really nice.

It's a slightly more efficient, more comfortable, and (IMO) a much nicer looking plinker, of similar style and function to the first PPK/S from Umarex/Walther...

You can find it here www.dlairgun.com (a good canadian retailer from what I can tell... I bought a nice B&S pneumatic from them, and the service was great).

For the exact page with the walther products (for you lazier people) :

- http://www.dlairgun.com/Walther.htm <-- you'll have to scroll down a bit. It's the 12th gun down, the CP99 compact (otherwise you'll be looking at the 8-shot rotary pellet CP99s)

OMG! That is is freaking sweet. But alas, it could kill a mofo, so i don't like it.

And for the final airsoft vs paintball point. that explains to the noobiest noob why airsoft is better.

We have bigger wangs than paintballers.
