Penguin: We have access to his IP and who his service provider is, using that sometimes you can figure out city (and sometimes even the area of the city), though finding out the address of a person is a little more difficult.
It furthur complicated things that he tried to hide his actions via a school computer but in the end it just made things worse for Puzzle. After I called the OPP I found out he's made similar threats in Alberta, so it's not an isolated incident with him. Now he has a history and the next time he does something similar he may look at further disaplinary action. |

'It' was a Chinese spam bot, or, if it was human, most of the time Chinese woman on the internet... or any woman on the internet is likely a Chinese man out to scam you, so I just assumed.

True...
Not exactly sure it was a spam bot, it said the person was 'online' for a while, then he/she/it left, and they put it in 2 different sections with different names (First time when someone suggested Gear, I think she put one into Gear). |

I'm seeing so many more cases of this sort of thing since Charlie Wenzel got pwned by pirate4x4.com. Mods and admins everywhere on chatrooms and bbs', newgroups and forums are bringing justice to the front doors of the perpetrators of threats that no one would tolerate face to face. Smallbrained idiots running their mouths over the internet, thinking they're invincible and untouchable, then being completely surprised when the PD shows up with some very unfriendly questions.
It's happened to me (though definitely not to this severity, but the illusion of invincibilty was deposed from my brain pretty roughly. I won't get into it in detail, but I said some things not directly at anyone, and I happen to fit a pretty damnable profile, so...yeah), and I learned my lesson right quick. Hopefully, this will sink in to young Sam. Good jorb, Homestar. -J
