well the army is prolly the best way to go, cus once your done there you can get a job firefighting just about anywhere, but like i said go talk to a recruiter I'm a support weapon so i cant tell ya much more then what i learned first hand, they will have all the answers ya need. that and the sooner ya get started the better your chances of getting everything worked out and ready for the summer or whenever

Int Op is a remuster-only trade FYI, you've got to be in the forces (QL3 qualified, CPL) already in order to apply.

And for the love of Pete, guys please I emplore you - start running your posts through a spell check once in a while, reading these boards lately is like looking at endless run-on paragraphs written by five-year olds...

It's "there" not "thier" - seriously, you want to be taken seriously, spellcheck - or more English classes. Not pointing it out to be an ass, just saying.

Anyway, on to the issue at hand, if you head on over to;

http://www.forces.ca/v3/engraph/jobs...en.aspx?bhcp=1

And punch in your qualifications (schooling, element preferred etc) it will match you up with suitable trades. To see if a trade is open to "off the street" applicants such as yourself, you want to look at the trade summary and find "Qualification requirements". For instance the Int Op reqs are;

"Entry Plans: The Intelligence Operator occupation is usually available through Occupation Transfer....Other applicants to be considered are:

Civilian personnel who have formerly served in the CF

Component Transfer applicants who are re-enrolling or transferring from the Reserve "

On the other hand, my trade is completely open to walk-in applicants, as are most trades in the Forces. Just make sure to pick something you find interesting, and once you run through the application process things will work themselves out. The aptitude test will most likely be the deciding factor on whether or not you can pursue a trade.

I'm talking to anyone under 18 who knows the rules of the airsoft community, decides to get a gun anyway, and goes on about "Oh, but I'm responsible."

You do not have to take english to use a spell-check program. Those are free, or since posting is not a race you can use a word processor first.

This may sound petty, but writing correctly will make a huge difference if you want to apply anywhere, for any job. It can be, and often is, the difference between seeing your resume wind up in the trash, or getting the job you want.

So... starting to check here, in your leisure time, is good practice. It's also free practice.

This applies to everyone, by the way. Not just this guy.

It is a fact that on a written forum, writing like a child lets you be perceived as a child.

If the problem is a language barrier, just write in your own language. Someone here is bound to know it.

Me? I love it when under-18 kids show up, rant and rave that they are mature, and immediately do all they can to get a gun. The worst tend to be around 14 years old.

Maturity includes respecting the rules/laws of the society you live in (or want to participate into). If you dont, then that society is in no obligation to accept or support you. Life is not fair. In Canada you are an adult at 18, not before. Cope with it.
