It should be OK, since there are quite a few people that have tried them and are satisfied with PDI's...
In regards to branson's case is that he was saying that he purchased one and the clip that you snap into place to have the hop-up attached to the barrel was protruding a few mm... it was an easy fix ... by the way, I recommend DOFF upgraded hop-up... |

PDI barrel: $200 shipped
PTW Hopup (if you want two complete barrels): $60 Total: $260 DOFF custom barrel: $325 shipped The price difference is less than $100 really, and you get whatever diameter you want and a custom tweaked hopup. Personally I have an M16 length PDI barrel in the mail and have a complete hopup unit sitting on my desk from airsoftparts. Now all I need is my SPR to put it all in! |

I beleive PDI had a big fuck up on their tightbores... one of the members here had to do a lot of work to make his work since PDI used wrong dimensions. They might have fixed this by now...

That's the same basic idea I've decided on. PDI barrel, and I have a spare hop-up already. Doff custom would be fine as well, and currently I have to wait a few weeks to get either of them, so time is not an issue at this point.
My M16 won't be an SPR though, but I could change my mind as I'm assembling all the new goodies.
