Part #66 for KSC MK23

interesting. i think the 2005 HK HW version will have the flaws of the previous models corrected.

Am sure that model, the newest one, is the one that has the flaws (like the spring guide snapping since it's pot metal), and the 2005 I'm sure has flaws as well. What I've seen among my digging (and experience with my own) is the pre-2005 models are the most robust.

well unfortunately, 007 and A&A only stock the 2005 version i believe. still, i wonder if i could get a machinist to make a steel spring rod, or hopefully they make a replacement part. i really am at a lost at what to do by the time summer comes and its time for me to purchase a pistol.

The spring guide could be a bit of a job, due to its angles and such at the rear of it (where the barrel cams).

Largely, you want a KSC MK23, buy one. To many people are trying to poopoo on your decision and you are letting them. Biggest complaint I heard before buying mine was the size, and I find it large yes (considering my secondaries before were G19s), but I love it non-the-less and even have a few different options for carry (including a Versapack and an Eagle drop leg). What I said before is that this is a good gun, it's the KSC M11A1 that I have which is a maintainance pig, not the MK23. Other's experience is just that,their own experience. It's largely like the debate about running a KSC pistol with stock slide on propane, some say it breaks within the first couple hndred rounds, others like me have run thousands of rounds through theirs and haven't seen much in the way of wear at all.

In the end, sift through the data given and make your own choice.

thanks for the sound advice. thats just what ive been wanting to hear. i just didn't know it until you said it. i think that i will get the KSC MK23. now i just wish i new why the reinforced part 66 cost more than the stock replacement part off UN company.

As a side note, i think i will start to order KSC parts so that they can't go out of stock on me when the time comes.

i would think that the reinforced part would be more expensive as it would be more durable and made of better materials than the stock part. but hey, what do i know?

i know this is a necropost, but i didn't want to start a new thread for essentially the same topic. Does anyone know if you can put a metal slide on the TM Mk23? And i read b4 in this thread about the piston assembly breaking on the KSC MK23. what are the chances of this happening, or is it just a lemon?
