Omemee1, stop giving out uneducated airsoft advice. This is your one and only official warning.

This is exactly what the newbie tank is not for. Just because you have a low post count and recent join date doesn't mean you can spew this kind of crap.

Succinctly, I get my info from discussions, observation and actual orders.

No, it's not.

If you can't see why investing a decent amount of money in a gun (300+ used, 400+ new) and a few hundred in gear (which you need, full stop. Unless your idea of milsim is running arounf in blue jean and a t-shirt, sporting sexy Crossman shooting glasses and having no extra mags), leave. Go play paintball or something.

Oh, and a 200$ gun lasting 6 months of real use? Yeah, right.

As for the veteran out of the newbie tank thing, this section of the board was not setup to let the stupid lead the blind, It's a place for people to ask questions that might not get a warm reception elsewhere in the forum.

These questions get you flamed in other sections because as far as I care to remember they have been asked 3-4 times a week.

However, this section will not be allowed to turn into a support group for kids wanting to play with Canadian Tire and Walmart guns.

The problem isn't you giving information or advice. The problem is you giving wrong information or bad advice.

For example:

What do you think those we're doing? Giving fake advice? Saying a < $200 gun is a piece of shit and not worth the money isn't fake advice. It's fact.

There is if you want to play airsoft.

Wrong. Any gun that costs less than $200 will shoot like shit. You're assuming. We know from experience.

We have lived and learned. Now we're sharing that knowledge so others don't have to.

Correct, but laying down $190 for a piece of shit isn't any better. At leats a $700 AEG will last more than 500 rounds. If hey lays down $190 for a piece of shit, he'll have to spend $400 on a good AEG when the POS inevitably breaks. Total cost: $590. If he spends $400 on a good AEG from the start, total cost: $400. We're cutting out the middle man and trying to save the fellow a couple hundred of his hard earned cash.

Maybe uninformed newbies like you shouldn't give advice about something you know nothing about.

So flaming is allowed in the newbie tank now? another reason why mr. hard core veteran here should stay out of this section...

P.S I've had a $100 airsoft gun for 2 years now, fired thousands of rounds through it....still works great.

Nothing he said was flame. He presented counter-argument to your position. If you think that's a flame, you haven't been here very long indeed.

Model, brand, and how many thousands? We often go through a thousand or more in a short day of play in our guns.

A mod should lock this thread...it's past its useful point.

I could care less if someone has 10 posts or a 1000. Bad advice is bad advice.

Taking one cheap AEG that's worked for a long time and extending that to advising others...is not wise/sound advice.

To the original poster. Take all of the advice given out...all of it. Do more of your own research and then make your decision. Live with what you decide to do...good or bad.

Best of luck and have fun.

I'm waiting to see what his idea of a "good" $100 AEG is.

Model: TM MP5 boys. as for how many thousands, well I don't actually keep a count after 2 years(that may be a surprise to you) but it's gotta be way up there..

....Tokyo Marui is one of our more respected brands, but their Boys line are just that, for boys. They're not 1:1 in scale, and their range and muzzle velocity is a fraction of real airsoft guns. Bring a TM Boys to the field would be akin to bringing a tricycle to a mountain biking event.

I think this is an appropriate demonstration that you really have no idea what you're talking about. Thread closed.
