I just finished installing the RA tech trigger kit in and now it won't fire because of the valve hammer moving around loosely. Any ideas on how to fix that?

Does anyone here own a we scar with a ra-tech precision barrel? or any tightbore barrel for the we scar? Mine doesnt work. gun shoots fine with stock barrel, but the precision barrel jams the bbs. It has been theorized that an older gen model scar can't take precision barrels. Any ideas?

I'm using bastard .28s. The bbs never get past the hop up. I don't even think it gets past the start of the inner barrel.

so then, without seeing it, can only assume that the hopup is not fitting right with the new precision inner barrel. do BB's fall through the new barrel when not installed? pull the hopup and barrel and inspect to see exactly what is hanging up the BB's.

bb jam
the bbs jams before touching the hop up. With the hop up removed from the gun, the bbs still jam. With a LOT of force with the cleaning/unjamming rod, i can push the bb past the stuck part and out the flash hider end of the gun. If I push the bb with the cleaning/unjamming rod toward it's origin, there is no resistance and the bb unjams no problem. I drew a picture in paint as to where the bb jams. It jams in the rubber sleeve.

I can verify everything Ross is saying.
I don't know enough about the WE hop up systems yet to fix it! I checked the barrel and everything, it was perfectly straight, it measured roughly .3mm thicker than the stock barrel though. |

That's so weird. Was thinking it was tapered or something.

Thanks for your help anyways amos. I tinkered with it last night and ended up tearing the hop up rubber into 2 pieces. YAY!
I wrote another lengthy email to ra-tech. they responded within minutes this time. They said they will "have their gun tech look at this issue". Which sounds great, but I don't think the gun-tech will find anything wrong with their specific scars. I am wondering if WE themselves makes replacement barrels. Or even a longer extended inner barrels. Since they make extended outer barrels, you would think they would make the matching inner that goes with it. At this point I don't care if it's precision or tightbore. I just want a long barrel period. lol. Last edited by Ross; November 3rd, 2010 at 03:04.. Reason: reasons of fail |

Hi Ross...It goes the same with my friend WE HK416, Ra tech tight bore and the WE stainless tight bore, BB jammed, so back using the standard brass barrel...

Was about to order a WE M4... but then I saw the prototype WE M4 with the PDW's open bolt system.
Anyone has info about the release date?

a.k.a. cloaked

You know what it could be? The "rubber sleeve" could have swelled up from too much lube and oil thus making the hole tighter which makes the BBs get stuck.

Ow...Is it deformed or broken? If u live in Indonesia I can send u, its cheap only $0,50, try to look at the technical and hardware spare parts selling centre, the section that sell oring, they should have it, because I buy all the oring from inlet valve to the nozel at that place, one big building only sells technical and hardware parts ... Wish u luck Last edited by johan_saint; November 12th, 2010 at 13:49.. |
