VFC scar (mk16/17) Owners

I don't know the length of the inner barrel. The flash hiders on the vfc's are correct. there is a cqc version and a regular version each have slightly different flash hiders. m14 pouches should work just fine. cheers

thanks. the vfc's look a bit different compared to pictures of the real steel but then again FN could have changed it. its nice to know that the correct flash hider is included in black. the only thing i dont like about the scar h is the shorter barrel. if i could find an outer barrel then just get a 363mm inner barrel.

I just bought a VFC Scar H. I want to thank you all for the great tips for upgrading it. I do dislike the fact that the mags are only VFC propriatary. I know that you can modify Magpul 7.62 mags to fit, I will need to find that thread if there is one? I cut the fuse out of all my guns...they are nothing but a pain anyway! I will keep this thread on my important "to read" list.

thanks wobbly. it doesnt look like the end that goes on the gun is threaded. if i go with the scar h hopefully it works.

so i know im definitely going to get a vfc scar in black. right now im leaning towards the scar l.
will these mags work in the scar l?

That extention will work on the Scar H or Scar L, just take off the flash hider on the H and it screws on CCW then you can attach the flash hider to the extension.

Most m4/16 will work in the L but you may need to add the fuzzy side of velcro to the back ridge of the mag so that it fits securly in the magwell.

I use magpul p mags and i have to do this to them.

Silentownage, I got my VFC SCAR before they put trades on them, I got it laser engraved boxing day and did some looking into the real trades. Mine are a little variated from the RS, but I figure I might as well show you. Here's a pick.

Also, as far as mags for the light version, I run magpul pts pmags, they fit perfectly in it and I would highly recommend them, just don't overload them. I have KA 68rounders as well, which I found to be a tight fit but worked still.

thanks mandalore. the new vfc's have extra so it wouldnt be possible to modify them. could you post a pic of your entire gun?
