I personally don't like the way it looks, I don't want to cover up a silencer with rails, no need for that many rails. But I'm not gonna call it fugly. And if he likes how it looks, then he should go for it. In the end I'd rather have something I liked that nobody else did than something everyone thought was cool but that I didn't, or that I thought could use some big improvements.

Last I checked, we all use the same
ammo and and shoot relatively the
same distance. So choosing to buy
or build a custom AEG is more about
looks and personal taste or lack there
of. And of course what ever is in the
latest video game or fan boy movie.

So, do what ever you like buddy, but
at least make her shoot hard if she's
gonna be ugly!

The upgrades your planning, do take away from its realism. But that is your choice man, mod it to your taste. Everyone has their own perference in performance, look and feel. Do the ones that appeal to your eye.

The extended stock is useless if you take the time to modify the P90 to hold a J battery; same size cells as the nunchuck you'd be able to fit with the extended buttplate. Or if you get the boxmag (I had one, it was pretty lame, just stick with lowcaps) you can put a 9.6V large battery where the mag would normally fit, like ShelledPants mentioned.

I got myself a Sanyo 9.6 1700 mah J that does not fit in there, even with all the mods. Apparently the 1500mah does, but I've yet to get one of those.
Is the extended butt plate and extended stock the same thing?

the 1700mah fits, Ive done the Jbatt mod to my p90 with the same batt, shes a beaut.

I like it quite a bit, i think it would be quite comfortable with a vertical grip.

The 1700mAh and the 1500mAh are the same size cells. Similarly, there are 2500mAh NiMH cells that are also the same size, so you can fit a lot of battery into a regular old P90 with a bit of work.

Yeah, I was using extended butt plate and extended stock interchangeably.
