Awesome! An adjustable FPS bolt was exactly what was needed!

Seems like a bit of a pain in the ass to guess how many turns and such to get the FPS you want.

that is so awsome.
this is why i have switched to GBB guns, no more batteries, wire, fuses and that god forsaken gearbox. the good thing about this design, is that you can adjust the FPS with no affect to the blowback. i cant wait to see whats going to happen when they finish the CO2 mags.

I was kind of hoping they would build the mags like they are,but instead
of a 12g powerlet, you charge them like the C02 grenades. This way you can have a 20oz tank like before but instead of propane you fill with C02.A lot of us play on paintball fields, there is bound to be C02 around. |

No mention of pricing yet, at least not that I could find on RA-Tech. Seems like an interesting approach to allow "hot" gas guns to be dialed-down to acceptable levels, esp. for the indoor crowd. At least one only has to replace the bolt and not the entire assembly including the carrier so that's not so bad I guess. Although I do believe that as you lower the FPS, the percent of gas directed into recoil goes up, resulting in a harder thwack for the internals to deal with. Hope they're reliable and sturdy enough...??
Airsoft's turning out to be almost as expensive a proposition as aviation and I don't even get to leave the ground! 'Fly

they removed the flute valve compleatly and reversed the spring in the new one. the collar that is twisted simply reduces the openning towards the front. once the BB leaves the barrel, the difference in pressure sucks the valve forward sealing the barrel and sending the gas into the blowback. it's a much better system since you dont need the BB to sit right on the nozzel. there is far less chance of a missfire(gun recoils and loads a second BB into the hopup)/missfeed, since as long as there is a BB in the barrel somewhere causing back pressure, the valve will stay open untill the barrel is cleared.

Awesome! If you really wanted, just get an indoor bolt and an outdoor one.

Good one...nice image there: a match, some quantity of propane under pressure = one gravity experient! And no, you're not sorry DT...not in the slightest! I still wonder what RA Tech's going to charge for this little beastie once it's released? Ready...FIRE...Aim! 'Fly

Thats pretty wild jumps. How does the actual consistency of the flight path deviate with each shot though?
