Just wanted to thank you guys for the excellent review. I just bought mine on the 26th as a direct result of reading your review. So far, I haven't regretted it one bit. This is a great pistol...my first KJW...but not my last.

More necroing; I'm wanting to get the 6004 for mine for the kit I'm making, but you're saying it doesn't? Is it because of the rail? That's my guess, but I'm planning on getting a railless frame for it so if that's the problem it should work. If the rail is stopping it working, you might want to consider getting and M3 or similar light, and get a holster designed to fit a 1911 w/light.

Was it a 1911 holster? Both Safariland and SERPA holsters are molded for one type of gun only.

He tried mine (real 6004), his rail are larger then mine. That's why its not fitting.
So I guess the only option you have to to by a receiver or a new gun if you want a 6004 :P

fuck it...I'll just sand the rail down LOL... I don't mind having a rail or not...sanding it until it clears the edges of the holster will be cheaper than buying a new gun
I paid it 125$ and its almost new... I won't change it

Even though you're not doing it, to be clear, when I get my new frame it will fit okay? Should I get a 6004 made for the Colt Government 1911 w/o rail (keeping it generic), or are the tactical sights too big and wouldn't fit in, as the sights would be the only thing different in size to a standard 1911. I just want to be sure, I'd hate to spend the money one a real 6004 and have it not fit
