just because you got through without trouble from a single customs officer at one time doesnt mean it is going to be universal. in fact if you read the sticky here about it there is a section specifically stating that customs has a policy of seizing airsoft at the boarder. of course that is policy and sometimes (especially in gov) policy isnt followed to the letter. so yes im sure you did get through, just like several people who have bought from that dealer in michigan likely have made it through. that doesnt mean you will make it forever.
just dont think that you can always do it or that it is the rules because there is a chance you will get a customs officer who actually follows customs rules and then you will end up with your guns taken away.

I'd certainly consider it, all depending on the drive and (of course) time of year, what with university on, quite a few 'softers up here in Canada would be put out of comission.

i some what know how to make it happen.
my plan only has 2 problems. one a feild large enought for a canadain eliment and an emerican eliment. finding some one in the us that can safely and leagely import guns to the us. (licences and such.)((i think i have the importer on the canadain side handeled but i have to clear it with one of my 2 ideas but i am very sure they do it just for the ability to kick the us butt)) all the us players box there guns(ot case them in marked cases) and take them to one centrel persion in the states whom packs them into a container(this individual would be better if he owned a wharehouse with loading dock and just threw the stuff on skids.)) pop a seal on the trailer and have a driver drive it across the border fully declaring it and leaglised importing of the us gear. the truck driver delivers the trailer to the feild. it sits there with the seal on it till game day game happens it all gets repacked and a new seal placed on traller. driver comes by and picks it up and takes it back to the us leagaly. players pick up the gear and its done. the game would have to be on canadain turf because theres no way you can outfit the candain team with orange tips. |

I have no problem with using a stock gun. Might add to the challange quite frankly.
I have no probs travelling to the US. I have my passport in order and travel there on business. In fact, Ohio state honours my Utah state concealed carry, so I could bring down my real steel and do some shooting down there as well. Sounds like a blast. I would be in and willing to take a couple of weeks vacation and make a real trip out of it.

Depending on the dates, this would be an interesting endeavor to check out. Much like others have stated, stock CA guns come pretty upgraded and there are simple ways to defeat this "horrible" orange tip.
Once it has been worked out, please advise on exact dates/costs/location and I'll definitely set time aside for this trip. Say, anyone in Wpg need a ride?

I would love to go and participate in this game. Stock guns......who cares? CA weapons are great out of the box. I look forward to learning more.

I'm surprised i haven't heard from any canadians whom would like to compete.
Please let me know if you intend to so i might secure sidearms and consider dropshipping the prize vs having it at the event. Thank You |

Damn, you know I would totally do it but I really need to make money this summer (for my international exchange) and going to an event like this is going to put a serious dent in my finances (with airfare, food, entrance fees, and all that).
Now if I lived in Toronto or near that area no doubt I would take the drive but from BC it's a bit of a stretch. But seriously this would be AWESOME, and I was considering buying a GBBR and this would give me the chance to test one out but I have to be responsible and think of my finances.... Any Canadians thinking of going definitely do it, this is a unique experience that will probably only happen once in a lifetime. Also don't forget to represent Canada!

I really think that this wouldnt get that big of a turnout from the Canadian side, being the distance and the difficulty with the guns..
