Yeah, but then we'd need to deal with the battery, the connecting wires and all of that crap.

Plus (as an AEP owner I have a bit of a right to say this), AEPs may be really fun and practical- but this gun isn't supposed to be a really effective skirmish piece, it's supposed to be a fun little collector's thing that'll make folks shit themselves when they see it the first time.

On that note, I'm making a cardboard cutout for measurements now.

Well, considering that the housing would completely hide the blowback action, doing it with a GBB versus an AEP really doesn't differ that much. The GBB would still have it recoil, though.

The problem with doing this with an AEP is that a motor is inside the grip. I don't like the idea of having the motor and mechbox realigning themself with every deployment. Probably not the best thing.

Yeah, basically sound, recoil and magazines. Also, rate of fire and whatnot, and the hilarious velocity- I like the 'BANG' of a GBB compared to the 'PEW' of an AEP.

Also, agreed about the motor bit.

Problem with the stock- thanks to it being so big, it'd go higher if it uses a simple hinge. Can anyone think of another place to put it so the stock's level with the top of the front frame?

Long mag is just for show, it can't fold with that.

What do you guys think of this for the stock and the butt?

It'd obviously have more inside of it, but the butt plate would also serve to hold the stock together, we'd prefer hiding the screws inside of the stock to keep it aesthetically pleasing. Bob and I decided we liked it, what about everyone else?

Hmm- I'm kinda torn half and half on either that, or keeping it boxy like the real-steel.

NEXT PROJECT- Glock-PEE-FIVES?

Sure thing, thanks- Jazzi (on AAS) has been talking about going up there for a game sometime, as we have next to nowhere here- we'll see if we can get a drive somewhere along the way?

Also, as for this project, I'm working on a sort of hinge system for the folding part, so that the stock won't go stupidly high and obscure the iron sights.

Being rendered now. Plans for the stock is to have it overlap, which takes care of the folding problem.

Couldnt you do what they did on the rs, Just use the Glock slide and make a drop in lower frame then have a folding grip that takes glock size mags

easier said then done :P

wow looks like this thing is really coming along...are you going to put a rail system at the top like the magpul one? personally, i thought it would interfere with aiming but it would be a nifty flashlight...

Thanks- yep, 3D renderings are coming along shortly.
The rail'll be on top but there's no point in rendering it, it'll just be a pain in the arse. Still, can't make anything too obvious.
