You can air strip light alloys, folks in the aviation industry do it all the time, you just need to use the right media and pressure, and then when you re-coat make sure it's dipped and coated the right way again.

it works fine
go check my engraving thread and look at the pics.

ive blased a desert eagle, m4 body than powder coated it, then re engraved it...as well as number other parts.

but ya i will test first, as long as the sand is fine enough it shouldnt pit the metal too badly. Otherwise i can just sand of the paint by hand, and re-coat it...anyways, not at that step.

i need to get a 416 upper first LOL

Dave,

Take an regular M4 upper, jig it on the band saw and cut off the top rail...cut a spacer out of aluminum.

Reattach the spacer and rail to the body. Resurface and paint.

You've got the tools and the materials...just no extra body

Somebody give Dave a body to build a mock up and figure out the kinks!

Thats wonderful, buy it.

If you have searched up a dremel tool, take the time to LOOK at it. It's tool has many different attachments and cut and grind small projects.

Once you get it, place the barrel and hop-up unit into the outer barrel and see how it fits. If it is not fitting properly then search for anything that may be keeping it from going in all the way. Whatever gives you problems, trim.

anodized, not usually...most airsoft is crap paint, or powder coat, or shit blueing i think...i found powder coating the nicest, most even and flat finihs.

move your hop up concerns to another thread or pm, your junking this thread up.

You know....I think thats enough 'spoon feeding' for one day. Wouldn't want you to get fat.
Like Djbordie said, this isn't the place to your hopup question.
