I was so happy when HKGhost told me my gun wouldn't be another horror story on this thread.

I once got a gun installed a ASCU II MOSFET, I knew the gun is not working because the signal cable of the ASCU II is broken, fine, I will replace that.
When I opened up the gun, I saw the orginal owner had an attempt to fix the broken signal cable.
The wrap around both broken tips of each wire strand was removed to expose the copper, fine.
The copper core of each broken tip being folded so they can "hook" to the matching broken tip. That is weird but fine. I would solder them but not everyone have solder tools with them so they may just twine them together.
Then the orginal owner rewraped each wire. He wraped them separately which is quite good compares to some of the examples we see in this thread.

But guess what he used to wrap them?

Electrical tape? Duct tape? Or even masking or Scotch tape?
Hell no. I would even post this if it was tape.

He used something, which I would best describe as the stick part of the sticky notes, cut in square centimeter sized pieces, and used one piece (folded in half) to wrap each spot.

BWAAHAHHAHHA OMG LOL, I thought seeing a twist wire connection with what
appeared to be wax (as it twisted together and dipped repeatedly in hot wax was bizzare.
But postit notes LOL ok thats a new one

Here's a good one,

How does one go about getting a dead spider half crushed in their barrel?

Ha! ^^ Awesome.

I had to set a hasty ambush once and realized about 30 seconds after lying down that I was in a nest of Daddy Long Leg spiders.

I was more worried about them getting in my weapons then anywhere else. (Almost anywhere else)

A few weeks ago, I had a client come back to me with a Magpul gbbr M4, was complaining that the gun wouldn't fire bbs. The bolt was sticking into the chamber when I investigated. Taking the bolt out, doing a full lube job on it I discovered that the bolt head was completely mangled! Looked like someone was taking a hammer to it and deforming the craps out of it!

Apparently the gun was modified by a field owner to put in the NPAS to lower the FPS: Mangled up the return spring, the plate that retains the bbu, dry as a bone, and the job I think cost the customer $60.

Managed to fix by carving down all the flashing created by the damage (as well as flashing from manufacturing). For a field fee: what the hell!

Got this from a Chinese airsoft forum (and of course such things don't exist in Mainland China where airsoft guns are illegal).
I have seen a few lipo swollen up, but a NiMH...

I was playing last week when in the safe zone, one of the guys was trying to fill his 40mm. With the propane constantly spraying out the vents, I took it and opened it up: 3 of 4 barrings were missing... He also said that he got it off someone else who got it off someone else. Good glory.

Took an AR apart in our shop last week. Found a dead wasp inside. Trapped beside the hopup chamber and the upper receiver.

Speaking of which, we got back a timer grenade to the shop: the delay port was clogged. Turns out a fly somehow got into it and was crushed inside the delay port, with nowhere else to go the guts went through the delay port. Parts of what was remaining dried and crusted onto the top cap.

My own problems

Hi all!

Since I cannot start a new thread lets just ask here then.
I recently aquired Sten MK II AEG and now I tried it for the first time. There was two problems with it:

1. I saw a spark while pulling the trigger (found solution from the forums so enough of this one)

2. First I tested the gun with almost empty battery and gun tried to fire but battery died before the shot. After that I smelled something like heated electronics and I found out that battery heated more every time I tried to pull the trigger. The gun fired properly (with the spark though) when tried it with battery that had plenty of juice left.

So is this because of the empty battery + the unusual trigger mechanism that sten has or has the battery lived past its prime and is malfunctioning because of it?

Appreciate the help =)
