Importing a Polar Star?

This is not a debate about "buy local support Canada" So please just skip right along

Has anyone done much border crossing/shipping with P* unit's themselves.

I'm curious, as the nozzle color essentially effects the gun's FPS. Any word from customs? anybody had one seized and tested?

I'm less concerned about the one I want being taken, more so about them being unable to test it in Ottawa? That being said, a big hose hanging out of it MAY be enough to let them say it isn't a replica?

The custom guys didn't really know what they were looking at because my box said fusion engine and didn't say anything about airsoft on it.

Taka, are you wanting to just import the engine? or is this going to be the entire gun?

The units them self, as in the engine?
that is 100% ok to move over the border, all of my FEs have gone over 0 issues.

If you want to bring over a full gun, I dont know how the CBSA will react to that as the FPS is dependant on so many things;
Nozzle
Poppet
PSI
Barrel length
Barrel ID
hopup unit, bucking, setting
hell, even the air rig and hose can affect the FPS.

Without knowing how the CBSA is willing to test the guns its unknown if it would get though without have the knowladge of a retailer.

With that said, most of the retailers here are almost on par for price of complete guns, its not even worth trying to order from the US because of taxes, brokerage, and shipping.

I'm looking at a custom one off from Bingo,
but after speaking with him, he can modify the AEG, and than reinstall gear box, and mail it to me, so it will come across as an AEG

Problem solved.

Cool!

Bingo is always so accommodating, nothing but good reviews from him.

I got my engine from bingo rather than sending him my entire PKM.
