Also you could probably learn a few things from that PTW pdf (how to assemble Challenge Kits) that's floating around. It's not a PTW but it may have the same kind of general assembly as one. I think you can find it at redwolf or Systema USA.

it isn't that simple... I need some weird special tool for removing the delta ring... Not really willing to pay $20+$40 shipping for it thusfar lol. I'll see if I can get it out with some plyers or something.

the barrel needs to be pushed back the other way to come out right? It probably doesn't help that the screw holding the flash hider in place stripped.

You can CAREFULLY use channel locks or vise grips to remove the barrel nut. Just don't put too much pressure to damage the teeth on the barrel nut.

Ideally though, an armourer's wrench is the best tool.

1. It's best to use an armourer's wrench
2. Wrap an old town around it tight (CCW), just a few layers and use large channel lock pliers
3. Use two pieces of soft wood and big channel lock pliers. Squeeze the wood onto the teeth of the delta ring and ease the ring off.
4. Just grab it with your manly hands and crank it off (you might want to wear leather work gloves...)

If the delta ring is on really tight...you have to consider how you're going to support the receiver that it's screwed onto. If you don't give it enough support...you risk cracking the receiver.

The Systema PTW SCK has very good pictures about what pin goes where. The bolt release is different...but you should be able to figure that out. The selector lever is different...but there's a couple of threads on this forum describing how to install it.

Good luck,

Tys

The Magpul PTS body does not come with the magazine catch/release parts.
Everything else is included. Also, the weird looking round thing with a spring, you stick it in the upper reciver. It's called a forawrd assist.

Also, the weird looking thing on the first top left part of this picture goes onto your chargin handle. This function is to open the dust cover.

Everything else is simple.

You take your gearbox, you shove down the front, and then you push in down the rear and it comes to place.
Your trigger should go through the bottom.

Then you try to stick your gearbox lock pin into the body that comes with the Magpul PTS body kit.

Let us know if you need help with the dust cover assembly.
