a couple questions about airsoft

this is my first post.

1.anyway i have a shotgun that uses shells, and the shells waste pretty
quickly. i got extra clips, but i want to know if anyone knows were to get
those shell holders that are attacted to the gun. or do i have to make them?
how?

2. there are .12 bb's claiming to shoot 10 percnet higher fps when used.
they are expensive, so i don;t want to get them unless i know they work
do they work?

1. A lot of people use real shotgun bandoleers. Some are velcro backed and you just attach the loop side of velcro to the shotgun.

2. Do not use .12's as they notoriously are made poorly and will break the gun's internals. Go buy .2g BB's at minimum. Higher FPS does not = greater distance / pain on the receiving end. At $10 a bag of 2000, BB's are cheap.

You could make a bandoleer if you know someone good at sewing and such (girlfriend or mom possibly).

Basically go to a fabric shop and source out some fabric and elastic and you should be good to go as far as making one goes. Although it may not be as "high quality" as a real steel one since the fabrics and elastic you're probably going to be getting aren't as heavy-duty.

any real steel shop should have one or Canadian Tire, I saw one which is for butt stock and only 9.99 $.

1. bass pro shop might have one of the holders but the thing is, it may be hard to find one with a perfect fit. your best bet it to make one yourself
2. 0.12 gram bb's always have a higher fps because they are lighter, that being said, they will get caught with the wind and will be totally inaccurate. use 0.2 or 0.23 gram bb's for the best accuracy.

.12g BBs have a higher initial fps. Their kinetic energy drops dramatically after only 10 feet.

Think of it this way:

You have a 10 year old and a plastic baseball bat.

He hits a wiffle ball (http://www.londonwiffleball.com/Images/wiffle-ball.jpg) at full force and it hits you in the head. It doesn't hurt that much and you walk away, "silly kids..."

Same kid, next day, hits a baseball at your head. Same force driving it, but it's moving slower and with more kinetic energy by the time it hits your head. Hurts a hell of a lot more.

The similarities with airsoft is that a kid hitting a wiffle ball is like a Crossman shooting .12's, and a professional athlete hitting a baseball is like a PTW at 500fps shooting .36's.

not possible, they'd have to be lighter to shoot faster, which makes them crappier

or 10 bucks for a bag of .25s :P you should always use at least .25s for outdoors.
